A great Veteran's Day activity to reinforce map skills!

This fun activity is great for your students on Earth Day! We all know how students get excited on Valentine's Day! Through this activity, not only will they have fun working together or individually to solve the puzzle, but they will have the opportunity to practice reading the latitude and longitude coordinate grid system (absolute location). Each moment is a teaching moment, and this will allow reinforcement of their map reading skills. They will use the absolute locations that are provided on the key and identify the points on the coordinate grid, drawing one line from one point to another. I developed these Father's Day Cards or Pockets because they are thoughtful, can be personalized, are something a bit different and so easy to explain and share with our students when we are not in school. These Father's Day Cards (pockets actually) can be edited to suit different situations, ages, countries and languages. Dad, Papa, or Uncle, Grandpa, Grandad - just edit - no worries!
