This is an interactive partner or small group activity that will have students up and moving throughout the room in order to answer 15 questions about poetic devices in 15 different modern and classic LOVE POEMS!

The product contains 15 multiple questions that have 4 answer choices. You will hang these signs around your classroom. Based on their answer, the students will be directed to another question. If the students make a mistake, they have to retrace their footsteps and find the question(s) they answered incorrectly. 20 questions games are a fun, effective, NO PREP way to practice forming French questions. Click on individual game links for specific details on each version. This bundle saves you 50%. These games work for any level as they are written in French and English. Want a real challenge for your upper levels or immersion students? Use the French only version!

Have students work in small groups of 2-4 or project the game and use it as a whole class activity.

Many of the words may be new to your students as this game is meant not only to practice forming questions, but also to build vocabulary. I like to allow my students to look at the game chart while they play until they’re somewhat familiar with the words. After they've played the games a few times looking at the French-English version they feel more prepared to move on to the French only version.

One student in the small group or class chooses a word on the chart. Other students ask up to 20 questions trying to guess the secret word.

The student who has chosen the secret word can answer using the following responses: OUI - NON - PARFOIS - RAREMENT - GÉNÉRALEMENT - PEUT-ÊTRE - CELA DÉPEND - PROBABLEMENT

Alternative game play:

To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret word describe it to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret word, other students listen to the description and guess it.

In this product, students will learn the English words for the 42 different Valentine's Day vocabulary words presented in this product.

Students will learn the different Valentine's Day vocabulary words. Students will also learn the difference between the Valentine's Day vocabulary words and will see how they are used in sentences. Pictures for each of the Valentine's Day vocabulary words are provided to help students understand the different kinds of Valentine's Day vocabulary words presented.

In the first section of this product, students will be provided with 42 Valentine's Day vocabulary words, a dictionary that includes a sentence using each Valentine's Day vocabulary word, and a picture that helps to explain each sentence given for each Valentine's Day vocabulary word.

In the second section of this product, students will be provided with a sentence, and a picture that explains each sentence provided. Students will write each Valentine's Day vocabulary word on the line provided. Students will be required to choose 11 Valentine's Day vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each one.

In the third section of this product, students will use the Valentine's Day vocabulary word provided along with a picture that can help support a sentence. Students will make up a sentence for each Valentine's Day vocabulary word.
