We are the Gardeners by Joanna Gaines is a fun story about a family who works together to garden. This story teaches the reader about the importance of hard work and never giving up. The Berenstain Bears' Trouble at School comprehension questions product is useful for students that read the book. The questions are placed in order with the book. Students can answer these questions as the book is read or after they have finished reading the book or listening to the book. While reading this book and answering questions, students will discuss how to care for yourself when you are sick, what you should do if you are sick, the importance of completing school work, studying, trying your best, and practicing to improve, concentrating on a given task, feeling sorry for oneself and how avoid that, dealing with anger in positive ways, correcting mistakes, and starting over again. Students can answer these short answer questions, yes/no questions, true/false questions, multiple choice questions, fill in the blank questions, and vocabulary/picture labeling questions as the book is read to them, as they read the book independently or they can use the text for lookbacks once the book is finished. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and examples of the words used in sentences are presented. Students have the opportunity to use those words in sentences as well.

It is important for your child to gain confidence when learning to read! They need to practice reading stories with the phonetic pattern they are learning! These decodable readers are perfect to work on sounds, reading digraphs, reading high-frequency words, and stories with digraphs. I have a scaffolded option that includes the sounds, words, and high-frequency words in isolation that they will see in the story! When they are done reading the story you can work on comprehension with a few quick questions about the story! Tip-you could have them highlight all of the words with digraphs in the passage and have them read those in isolation before reading the whole story!
