HOW TO PLAY

This is a partner game (I usually put it in one of my math stations, and change it out with different holiday versions). Taking turns the students roll 2 die, add the sum, color in a box in that number column on their side of the game page. Students can also DAB IT with a bingo dauber if you choose. Continue taking turns in this manner until they reach the picture in the center, and they circle that picture to capture it. The first one to capture 3 pictures wins! All games are the same Game, just with different pictures to capture. This allows you to change out the games often throughout the month and keep things fresh.

These are the in-person and remote word sorts for Grade 2- Unit 4 of The Pearson Savvas Realize reading program. It was formally known as My View-Pearson.

Did you know it has been proven that when students use word sorts, they understand their words longer and deeper? There is a Google Document with links to Google Slides for every list. Print the lists for your in-person students or use the remote slides for your remote or in-person students. Students will cut out the words and sort them based on the spelling pattern.

This is a great sheet for following directions and coming up with a strategy to follow those directions. It checks reading comprehension and knowing left and right as well. I use it with 6th graders to show how important carefully following directions can be. It could easily be used with younger grades or possibly older grades as well.
