⭐Use one card a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet with some of the challenges that require more problem solving and creativity.

⭐Practice sequencing by having students do several cards at a time, and then draw pictures of what they built (or the scenarios on the task cards) in the sequencing boxes.

⭐Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build as many cards as predetermined, and then show and tell with the class or their parents. They can discuss what they made, liked, what they would improve, and how it solved the problem on the task cards. They can practice speaking and listening skills, using loud and clear voices, and giving full attention to the speaker. Encourage students to ask questions to their classmates.

Print, laminate and attach the #2 pages of the Uppercase Letters (rainbows) to a file folder. Then cut out and laminate the clouds with the lowercase letters on them.

In this new version of cut and paste, students will make a scrappy quilt using a variety of pattern blocks included in the activity. The students must complete a set of questions or activities to know what numbered pattern to use and where it should be placed on their quilt. Each quilt has its own color scheme (color chart) and those are the colors students will need to create a one-of-a-kind scrappy quilt. Each quilt comes with a header, and some have additional activities students must complete to finish their quilts. Each quilt once assembled with header is 11x14 inches (does not include the size if a quilt has an additional activity).

The duck is at it again in this funny back to school book where the animals need to learn rules of the classroom when invited on a special visit to school. Have children come up with classroom rules for this craftivity. Complete with bulletin board letters "Quack to School Rules" and bulletin board clipart!

I used this resource with one of my guided reading groups. They completed the packet as they read the story "Once Upon A Fairy Tale: The Stolen Slipper" by Anna Staniszewski and illustrated by Macy Pamintuan. If they finished they could choose from the extra activities. Answer key is included!
