This is a great PBIS Resource to support the development of an anti-bullying and kindness mindset. This is a great back to school, anti-bullying and world kindness day workbook to get students started with the right foundation.

Being unkind is never okay. It is hurtful and it can impact someone for a long time. Throughout this book students will be asked to explore the difference between being kind and unkind. You will examine your own behaviours and the behaviours of others and reflect on why it is important to be kind as well as looking at practice and realistic ways for you to demonstrate kindness.

In this product that relates with ignoring others, students learn why they should ignore someone if they are not nice to them, how you may feel if someone isn't nice to you, and discuss how you would feel if someone wasn't nice and they weren't ignored, how you could help your friend feel better if they were trying to ignore someone, and what you can do when someone isn't nice.

The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. At the end of this product, there are 4 role-playing scenario cards that will require students to discuss ignoring others that aren't nice, how students would feel in a given situation that relates with ignoring others, and what students can do when they want to ignore someone who isn't nice.

The Discussion Game! Students remember and discuss how they have handled emotional situations in the past. Game Rules: One at a time, students pick a card. They tell a story based on what color card they choose. If they chose: Yellow chameleon, they tell a story about a time they had joy, when they were happy. Blue chameleon, tell a story about a time they felt sad. Red chameleon, a time they were angry. Green chameleon, when they were disgusted. Orange chameleon, a time they were surprised. Do you have kiddos who struggle with appropriate reactions to situations? This activity can help! 

Packed with 20 scenario cards, students will have the opportunity to read through them and decide just how big the problem really is. 

Included are three fuzzy monsters; big, medium, and small. Cut them out and laminate them. Have students read each scenario and sort them depending on the size of the problem. (You should have three different sorting piles). If it's a big problem, have them place the scenario card on the big monster. At the end of this product, there are 4 role-playing scenario cards that will require students to discuss ignoring others that aren't nice, how students would feel in a given situation that relates with ignoring others, and what students can do when they want to ignore someone who isn't nice.

The Sliders Game! Students match the 28 slider scenarios with the correct emotion the scenarios would evoke. they slide the slider portion until the emotion showing matches the emotions the situation would evoke. There is more than one possible answer to scenarios. As long as student reasoning and logic is sound, accept all answers. To assemble: Print Single Sided. Laminate. Cut Apart Half Page Cards. Cut Apart Bookmark Sized Sliders. Leave the white tips at the top and bottom of sliders intact. Only cut vertically. To create the sliders: 1) Cut slits along the two black lines on the situation cards. 2) Place the slider strip behind the card. 3) Push the slider strip through the front of the first slit (from the back), and out through the second slit (from the front). 4) Students slide the slider portion to match the emotion that the situation would evoke. (Refer to the pictures in the product preview) In the end, your students will know more about what situations evoke certain emotions. I hope you and your students love this activity! The Empathy Building Game Help students recognize and understand how other people would feel in a given situation. Have students “walk a mile” in other people’s shoes while answering one important question; How do you think they would feel? Two sets of 52 game cards are included. Black and white cards should be used with advanced groups who have a solid grasp on understanding emotions. Students pick a card, read the situation, and describe the emotions the person would feel. The colored cards can be used as a guide for students who still need help understanding the basic concepts. The colors on the chameleons (on the cards) match the emotions the situations would evoke. This is a creative activity to help foster connection and create a sense of unity and “togetherness” within the family. Learning healthy self-care habits can start at an early age and the good news? It’s never too late to start learning about the importance of taking care of yourself. From making yourself a hot chocolate, running a bath or even dancing to your favourite singer. These can all be positive and healthy self-care habits.

The important thing to remember is what is self-care for you might NOT be self-care for someone else. Self-care is about meeting your needs. As a family however, it is important to consider the needs and preferences of the whole family as well so you can create a menu of options that as a family you can do “together”.

In this activity you will be creating your “family togetherness tea”. A cup full of self-care habits and strategies that as a family create a stronger bond of love and unity.

All family members are encouraged to participate and provide valuable contribution by expressing their self-care needs. Collectively the family creates some go-to self-care strategies to help strengthen the family.

Although not all self-care strategies will be everyone's “cup of tea” (so to speak) being more aware of everyone's needs, likes and preferences can provide a lot of insights and allow for opportunities for connection and communication, family cohesion and togetherness.
