This creative Pizza Collage: Art Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this PDF file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on the big screen. For this assignment, I asked students to make a Pizza Collage of their favorite type of pizza. Lots of students love just a Cheese Pizza, but when they see all the types of delicious paper toppings they can add to their special pizza, they can’t wait. Students learned tracing, cutting, gluing, and placing (overlapping) skills during this 2-Day Art Unit. Students shared who they were making the special pizza for and their favorite pizza toppings. I love hanging these out on the gallery ceilings. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy!

3rd Grade Sight Word Sentences Booklet - 41 words
By Sign with me TOD
This product is made for:
As students are learning the 41 - 3rd grade sight words in this product, they will be provided with each word, an example of the word used in a sentence, and the opportunity to make up a sentence themselves using the word. I find that with my students who are Deaf/hard of hearing/ELL, when they make up sentences using each newly learned sight word, it helps them to remember how to spell the word, the meaning, and how it is used. My students love booklets of any kind that they can refer back to. Once they have come up with their sentences, they can include pictures that they print and cut out, draw pictures freehand, or find pictures in a magazine that they can add to each page of the 3rd grade sight word booklet that matches each sentence they come up with. This gives students the opportunity to connect what they are learning about in the classroom with their own personal interests. This booklet is perfect for students that are on grade level as well as students who require instructional information to be adapted.
If you are interested in the product above, the sight word checklist may be of interest to you as well.

End of the Year Student Certificates (Celebrating Character Traits!)
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This resource includes 30 end of the year certificates for students that focus on positive character traits. Each certificate has a cute, catchy title specific to a character trait and animal that it pairs to along. Additionally, each certificate gives a sentence that connects how that character trait is used by the animal in the wild. For example, the Enthusiastic Emu Award is given to a student for their boundless enthusiasm and energy, always eager to jump into new experiences like an emu racing across the outback! This resource gives the option of printing the awards with the animal picture within the medal or printing without pictures.
These awards are great because they praise positive character traits that we as teachers promote and praise daily. They focus on attributes that students can control versus success within specific academic subjects which can can be disheartening for students that struggle with academic tasks or have learning disabilities.
July Nonfiction Reading Comprehension Passages
By Basic Biz Teaching
This resource will provide your second grade, third grade, and fourth grade students with 30 nonfiction reading passages about holidays in the month of July. Use these no-prep reading comprehension passages to have your students reading about various engaging topics.
It seems like every day is National (insert cool thing here) Day. I decided to look into these holidays to bring some fun and excitement back to informational passages. The best part about these units though... they are EASILY enrichable! For example, watch Donald Duck cartoons on Donald Duck Day, celebrate fathers on Father's Day, or get students to bring their bikes to school for Bicycle Day!
My class has had such a fun time reading these passages and celebrating something each day.
In this unit, you will be given 33 informational passages with text dependent questions requiring short answer responses.
Please consider that not every day has a holiday that is school appropriate. Not every holiday remains on the same day each year.
All passages are informational based, usually with a history on the day and whatever is being celebrated. Passages have 4-6 questions with a few skills being met:
Similar format throughout the unit so students get familiar with text structure and routine quickly. This document has the passage on top with the questions below.
Use during:
