I make booklets by copying the pages by multiples of 2 on my printer. This is very easy to do.

1. Click print

2. Select the printer and number of copies, then search down midway and click the MULTIPLE bar

3. Select 2 so you get 2 pages per printed copy

4. You can choose to bring double sided or single sided but I prefer single sided for the little ones (you can always take out the page if they make a mistake…harder to do if they also filled out the entire other side…fewer tears for me, the better!)

5. Staple into booklets. I stapled along the binder spirals so they looked more authentic

1. You can print one image per page and make the books bigger

Who can use this resource:

I used this resource with my Grade 1 and 2 students at the end of the year to celebrate our accomplishments and to create a book of our favourite memories. Students loved brainstorming ideas for the various pages. It's amazing what they remember and appreciate from the past ten months of school.

Happy memories, big successes, and all the friends made during our year are worth treasuring. I hope you love filling out all your class memories!

French Immersion teachers in the Kindergarten to Grade Three classroom and those teaching beginner French students. Can be used at the Grade 4-6 level with Core French students learning to segment and blend complex sounds.

I personally use these activities with 1st and 2nd Grade students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from K-3 will find these most useful and teachers can come back to them year after year with their students. Do you print out your student's writing and have them peer edit? Do you have students' correct sentences when teaching grammar? Then these are perfect for you. These are quick, easy editing marks students can use to correct writing or assist with grammar lessons. I print them out, number the back of them and laminate them.

I hand them out at the beginning of the year to keep in their writing binder. When we do Daily Language they use a red pen to edit the sentences and then rewrite the sentences correctly. When we peer edit I print their writing and they meet with a partner and peer edit each other's work using these correction marks.

This resource includes

• an example of how to use the editing marks (this could also be a handout you can give to the students or post in the classroom).
