These third grade sight word flash cards and posters are excellent for students to practice reading high frequency words and improve sight word identification and fluency. This Blue Conversation Heart Third Grade Sight Word Cards make learning sight words fun and engaging. Help your students build better reading skills using these third grade sight word flash cards for word work activities. These high frequency word cards can be used whole group, small group, in centers, for homework practice, or for word walls.

Sight words instruction is an excellent supplement to phonics instruction. Phonics is a method for learning to read in general, while sight words instruction increases a child’s familiarity with the high frequency words he will encounter most often. Sight word flashcards and posters can be used to introduce new words, practice previously taught words, and to practice in many different ways as listed below!

Pre-writing skills are skills that children need to achieve before they can learn to write letters. Firstly, children must understand how to draw the basic shapes (i.e. circle, diagonal, straight line etc) as these help form the basis of letters.
