What is the best way to teach number formation? Put it to a rhyme of course!

Help your young learners remember how to write numbers 1-10 with these fun rhymes. Not only does it help them remember during handwriting time, but it also helps them make a visual connection when recognizing numbers.

If you have students struggling with number recognition, practice the rhymes in a variety of ways: sand, whiteboard/marker, bumpy boards, air write, etc. so they get a full multi-sensory experience to solidify number recognition.

Added bonus of a pastel or rainbow one page reference sheet for teachers to laminate and keep at small group table, front board or anywhere you practice numbers!

After being accidentally taken to the North Pole one Christmas Eve, she stayed until adulthood and grew up thinking she was an elf herself. One day she found out she was a human, and decided to go and visit her biological father. On arrival she wasn’t welcomed by her father but soon the family grew to like Holly, and she also found a boyfriend. But then everything changed when she fell out with her father and she decided to leave. However, as she was walking alone, she heard a crash; when she went to investigate, she noticed it was her good friend, Santa. Her family catch up with her and together they all manage to lift Christmas spirit and power Santa’s sleigh.

Secondly, we have a play script for A Christmas Carol, however it is a modern remake that is based in a school - with the head teacher being Ebenezer Scrooge - you can change the names of the characters to teachers in your school, or to rhyme with teachers in your school as I did (if they have a sense of humour)! There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 20-22 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too.

There are song recommendations throughout the script, with a mixture of traditional Christmas songs and modern songs. There are 20-22 speaking parts, with additional non-speaking roles too. The play is around 40-50 minutes long.

RHYTHM BASKETBALL is in Holiday Style with the Beach Boys' hit piece, "Little Saint Nick"!

There are two all-color coded slides along with the form identifiers listed next to each phrase. Discuss form with the students and teach them (by rote) the rhythms on the powerpoint with the corresponding repeats (most are repeated 2 or 4 times).

• For this, your students will each have a basketball (can be regulation size or smaller) and bounce their ball on the ground each time they see a basketball icon. Each basketball icon is denoted as a quarter note. The rests are in between each ball for the students to hold the ball. Any smaller balls (grouped in two) will be played as 2 eighth note pairs and students will have to lower themselves a foot or two to dribble eighth notes on the floor

• There's also a "pat" icon with a hand below the basketball icon itself, so you will have the student hold the basketball in one hand and pat the ball on the beat

The play follows the story of Mary-Boo and her family as they open up to the Grouch, and try to show him what Christmas is all about. However, the Grouch has his own plans to ruin Christmas for the town, and steals all the presents on Christmas eve. He has a change of heart however when he hears the town enjoying Christmas even though he had stolen all of the presents. His heart grows and he quickly returns the gifts and takes part in all the festivities.

Need to connect with your kids with their pop music through general music? Involve them in bucket drumming with the clean version of Bruno Mars' smash hit "24k Magic"

There are five all-color coded slides along with the form identifiers listed next to each phrase. Discuss form with the students and teach them (by rote) the rhythms on the powerpoint with the corresponding repeats (most are repeated in groups of 3x and 1x). Then, apply it to drums!

• This version specifically targeted and tailored for beginning bucket drummers can be used for younger students who are not familiar with the sixteenth notes, may not have the coordination for alternating hands, or who just want to step right into the drumming circuit with a bit more ease! All notation in this arrangement are quarter notes, eighth notes, and quarter rests

All regular notation is to be played on the buckets (or drums, or ground, however you wish), and the X notation (with a down stem) are played as stick clicks above their head (or you could apply it to a tambourine or other auxiliary instrument)

The next level in the Rock'n'Rollin' method books! In R'n'R 2, we transition from a simple 3-line staff, to a full 5-line staff. The book focuses on getting students used to reading and playing on the 5-line staff. Other concepts in the book include stickings and rudiments, time signatures, rests, and introduces note and rest names like Quarters, Half's, and Whole's. Color is still used throughout the book to help with the transition on the staff.

The book itself is 100 pages and includes various activities, pages for composition, and a practice tracker in the back. At the end of the book, students may also fill out the Awesomeness Certificate to show they've completed the book!

Please note, this book is licensed for you to make multiple copies for teachers and students. You may duplicate as needed!

Use this chant with included beat and rhythm charts to introduce, and practice triplets with your students. Have fun chanting as you keep the beat through either clapping, patting or playing instruments. After you are done, hand out the worksheet either in paper form or digitally and have students practice writing the triplets out. Great for younger learners as a steady beat activity and adaptable for grades PreK-3. Perfect for Valentine's Day or any other time students need reminders of the power of love!

This new program from ZSMP/Seckman Music Studio is a Kids Band Discovery curriculum that teaches students the basics of playing Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, and a little singing as well!
