Round to the nearest hundred. This is a packet of 5 pages. One page is for you to print out and give to your students to help them remember when to round up or down. The other 4 pages are practicing rounding to the hundred spot. Students will determine what two hundreds the number is between and which one it is closer to. Then the students will use their knowledge of numbers and round to the nearest hundred. There is one practice page for 3-digit numbers and one for 4-digit numbers.

This task, (with complete key), lets students discover interesting qualities about numbers through lots of exercises with the addition of 3-digit (and larger) numbers. They learn how to create palindromes. They learn a "magic trick" and will be very excited to show this skill off to mom and dad.
