J'utilise ces 27 cartes "J'ai... Qui a ?" une fois que mes élèves sont familiarisés avec les nombres décimaux et sont à l'aise avec les dixièmes et le nombre entier.

Si vous n'êtes pas familier, les jeux de cartes "J'ai... Qui a?" sont des activités en grand groupe qui renforcent leur capacité à lire et à dire ce qu'il y a sur les cartes. C'est une excellente activité de révision avant l'évaluation et je l'utilise actuellement avec mes élèves de 5e et 6e année ; mais il pourrait facilement être utilisé en 7e année comme échauffement ou rappel.

Dans ce document de 7 pages, vous trouverez :

• Explication du jeu et comment démarrer avec des exemples.
• 27 cartes pré-créées (9 cartes par feuille) comportant des nombres comportant une partie entière et une partie décimale (dixièmes seulement) y compris les cartes "début" et "fin". Pour la partie "J'ai..." de la carte, les élèves ont la forme standard d'un nombre, et pour la partie "Qui a..." de la carte, les élèves ont une forme écrite en mots.
• 1 page avec des modèles de cartes vierges (avec "J'ai...", "Qui a..." "Début" et "Fin) à créer si vous avez plus de 27 élèves dans votre classe, si vous souhaitez permettre à vos élèves de créer leur propre version du jeu (j'enseigne une classe combinée, et je laisse mes 6 travailler sur ce projet ensemble pendant que je travaille en petits groupes et que je donne des instructions avec mes 5).

J'imprime ce document recto sur du papier 8,5 "x 11", je le découpe et je le plastifie pour l'utiliser année après année.

Telling time in French - Board Game

This French board game to practice telling time has a grid of 35 boxes. The first player to reach box 35 wins. There are lots of fun tricks along the way, so getting to the end isn’t always so easy! Check out the preview to see what the game board looks like.

In groups of two to four, players take turns rolling a die to move their piece forward. Spaces are numbered and players follow the arrows to keep track of which way they’re moving. There are some spaces with special instructions:

Départ - Start

Avance de 5 cases - Move forward 5 spaces

Recule de 5 cases - Move backward 5 spaces

Rejoue - Play again

Tu perds ton tour - Lose a turn

Fin - End

Use the time game cards so that students must answer after rolling in order to move forward. If students answer the question correctly, they can move forward. If not, it’s the next player’s turn. There is a total of 100 playing cards. 50 of them can be used when teaching the 12 hour clock. There are also 50 that use the 24 hour clock. You can mix them all up for a real challenge!  All of the cards feature digital clocks.

You may also choose to use these cards without the game board while having students work with partners, small groups or in centers to work their way through the cards speaking the time written on them.

Game includes:

• Game board (black and white and color copies included)
• 50 game cards - 12 hour clock (suns and moons represent AM and PM)
• 50 game cards - 24 hour clock

Not included:

• 1 die per group
• Game tokens, 1 per player

Devine Tête - French forehead guessing vocabulary game

This forehead guessing game is very simple. It includes 55 cards with pictograms representing an object, an action or an animal. This version is a mishmash of themes. French and English versions of how to play this game are included.

How to play:

From 2 to 10 players. Make two or more teams, the team with the youngest player starts the game.

Draw a card and without looking at it, show it to other members of your team. If possible, place it on his forehead with an adhesive. The player who draws the card must ask questions in order to guess what is on the card. The other members of the team answer only by "YES", "NO" or "sometimes" or another word that can guide his or her teammates. No gestures or noises are allowed. For example, if the card shows a dog,  the player will have to ask several questions to be able to know what is on his card.

Examples:

"Is it an animal"? Yes

“Does this animal live in water”? No

“Does it eat meat”? Yes

The team scores a point if the word is guessed. The team that reaches 10, 15 or 20 points has won !!

French Dots and Boxes Game - MANGER - PRESENT TENSE - No prep printable

An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure and pronunciation for the target vocabulary and grammar when teaching present tense MANGER with and without negation. This is a one-page dots & boxes game including directions. This game could be laminated and used repeatedly with dry-erase markers or played on an iPad with annotation/whiteboard tools.

Objective: Complete more boxes than your component. Each player draws lines using a different color. On your turn, make a horizontal or vertical line from one dot to another. Say the verbs on either side of the line you drew. If you complete a box on your turn, draw an X in the box using your color. Once all of the boxes have been completed, count to see who got the most. Your students will get excited for this activity which will have them hiding "plant" seeds around the class and finding the locations in your classroom of their peers' "seeds." In fact, take it from my grade 6's who begged me to make more activities exactly like this one... So I did. They try these out before you guys do and let me know what's fun - they've given this the seal of approval.

Your sneaky investigators will need to piece together the locations of the seeds in a cartesian garden, focusing on the first quadrant, ordered pairs and X and Y axes.

Included in this 7-page activity is:

• An explanation page which details how the activity works.
• A "collection" journal for them to track their findings.
• A "cartesian garden" for them to "plot" their seeds and rebuild the garden.
• An answer key.
• Enough printable cards for 28 students.

This works amazingly for a sub and takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour for the students to hide the seeds, find all 28 seeds, and plot them in their journal and then in their cartesian garden. It also works great around Earth Day, and can be easily done outside if you've got a great space and not too much wind ;)

★★ _Ceci est un document d'enseignement sans cahier - j'enseigne à l'aide des manipulatifs, des mini-tableaux blancs, des noto-collants et des discussions actives. Je n'utilise pas de papier sauf pour les évaluations à la fin du document. S_ans livres, sans cahier, sans papier, sans impression. ★★

Ce produit récemment mis à jour compte maintenant 63 pages de contenu, d'activités, de modèles de tableau de valeur de position, d'évaluation et de corrigés.

Ce document est conçu pour les élèves qui apprennent la valeur de position et je couvre des unités jusqu'à des millions. J'utilise personnellement ce document avec mes élèves de 5e et 6e année comme révision et comme segway en valeur décimale; cependant, ce serait un excellent point de départ pour l'apprentissage de la valeur de position et des grands nombres en 3e ou 4e année. Comme pour tous mes documents, il n'y a rien de bébé/enfantin, donc ce document fonctionnerait super super bien pour les élèves en adaptation scolaire qui manquent de concepts de leurs années d'école primaire.

Dans ce document, j'enseigne pas à pas à vos élèves comment lire et interpréter les nombres, comment décomposer les nombres, comment connaître les positions et les valeurs des positions, l'équivalence dans les valeurs, comment trouver la forme standard des nombres. Les manipulatifs sont encouragés et utilisés pour aider à fournir des visuels et un apprentissage authentique. Les calculs monétaires et les blocs de base 10 sont fréquemment utilisés dans ce document. Les élèves reçoivent de nombreux exemples et stratégies modélisées et ont ensuite la possibilité de les pratiquer avec un partenaire ou de manière indépendante. French Dots and Boxes Game - VENDRE - PRESENT TENSE - No prep printable

An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure and pronunciation for the target vocabulary and grammar when teaching present tense VENDRE with and without negation. This is a one-page dots & boxes game including directions. This game could be laminated and used repeatedly with dry-erase markers or played on an iPad with annotation/whiteboard tools.

Objective: Complete more boxes than your component. Each player draws lines using a different color. On your turn, make a horizontal or vertical line from one dot to another. Say the verbs on either side of the line you drew. If you complete a box on your turn, draw an X in the box using your color. Once all of the boxes have been completed, count to see who got the most. My (very) low-level middle-schoolers love learning about niche objects and concepts in Core French. I use their interests and personalities to create engaging projects that meet the outcomes. I actively use this particular project with grades 4, 5 and 6 but it could easily be used in a grade 7 or even grade 8 classrooms. If you use Pearson's Échos Pros, this works AMAZINGLY alongside "Ah oui, j'aime ça!"

This 30+ page project will prompt your discussions and activities and will provide your students with engaging, highly visual, clear and simple instructions and examples. My products are not babyish -- this is the main reason I started creating products.

You will find:

• A pre-created WheelDecide game on Bento Box food to practice the sentence structures ("Qu'est-ce que tu apporterais dans ta boîte bento?" "Dans ma boîte bento, j'apporterais...")
• A kinesthetic game: "Qu'est-ce que tu as dans ton sac à lunch?"

Classroom management in a middle school Core French classroom can be dicey! That's why I engage my students as much as possible to keep em' on their toes! Prof du jour is a part of my everyday routine, where a different student each day is given the opportunity to lead the discussions with their peers and to give them confidence in French. Sit back and watch the magic!

This isn't just a run-of-the-mill calendar! My Prof du jour is at the command desk and interacts with their peers and the Google Slides. Here are some activities that my Grades 4, 5 and 6 students actively use found in this document:

• Complete Calendar (drag & drop icons) for SEPTEMBER 2024 - JUNE 2025.

• Weather, time of day, days of the week, and terms like "yesterday," "today," and "tomorrow."

• Two versions available: One has the Sunday start and another has the Monday start, depending on how you prefer to view your calendar with your students.

• An "I SPY" prompter (a favorite in ALL of my classes).

Your middle schoolers will enjoy playing this twist on the classic game of Guess Who!
