Option 1: Fill-the-House (Ideal for visual learners and those who like a structured approach)
This graphic organizer provides a house outline with designated sections for your favorite room. Here's what your students will explore within each section:

• The Room: Write the name of their favorite room (e.g., bedroom, playroom, etc.).
• Sight: Describe what they see. Specific details like furniture, decorations, or the view outside the window.
• Smell: What unique scents fill the air in this room? Is it the fresh smell of linens, the sweet aroma of books, or a hint of their favorite snacks?
• Feeling: How does this room make them feel? Cozy, calm, energetic, or creative?

Option 2: Cutting, Folding & Designing (Ideal for kinesthetic learners and those who enjoy a hands-on approach)

• Cut and Fold: Cut out and fold along the lines.
• Design Time: Decorate the outside of their folded room to represent its visual elements (furniture, decorations, etc.)
• Sensory Exploration: On the inside flaps of the room, write down details related to their senses:

Graphic organizers can be helpful as a visual aid when students are writing.

• Helps students focus on their thoughts for planning, decision-making, and writing an essay

• Helps students see the connections, patterns, and relationships between facts, concepts, and ideas 

• Organizers provide a visual depiction for writers by showing them where each piece of the essay is placed within an essay

Persuasive essay maps are used as a visual aid to map out points and arguments for a persuasive essay or debate.

• 1st - determine your claim or thesis
• 2nd - identify three (3) reasons to support the claim or thesis
• 3rd - identify three (3) facts or examples to validate each reason

I hope your students/children enjoy this concept map by understanding the importance of why a graphic organizer is needed, as well as understanding the variables of a concept map.
