These Dental Health Activities are a Dental Health Month (February) educational package designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. A range of activities that can be used as individual exercises or as part of a lesson plan depending on what works best for you and your students are included in the package. The most important thing to remember is that in order to empower children to take charge of their oral health, they need to understand that their mouth is a window to the health of the rest of their body, therefore it is important they keep it healthy by:

• Brushing their teeth for two minutes, twice a day.
• Selecting less-sugary foods and beverages over sugar-filled ones.
• Two annual visits to the dentist.

• Healthy Smile Vocabulary worksheet: a worksheet with definitions for 10 dental vocabulary words and an exercise to practice ordering them alphabetically.

• Good for My Teeth, Bad for My Teeth worksheet: A coloring page designed to assist kids in distinguishing between foods that are healthy for their teeth and those that are unhealthy.

This fun dental health printable activity will help kids learn about their teeth and how to take care of them. Children can use this emergent reader to color and read the dental health worksheets that can be printed, turning them into adorable children’s books about teeth.
