The notes section of my products include a detailed step by step explanation of each problem with all work shown. By including the steps for each skill this will help to comply with various accommodations we must provide our students. The practice section will include skill based practice problems similar to the example and at least one version of the various ways questions are asked. The quick check section will include at least one problem of each type of question that was seen in the practice section. A suggested use of these notes would be:\n\n1. **Initial Teach**: Review any vocabulary and notes with the students to introduce the topic.\n2. **Guided Practice**: Complete the practice section with students, either as a guided, with a partner, or independently. Review answers immediately.\n3. **Independent Practice**: This will need to be supplemented, I personally prefer having students work on an online program which will provide instant feedback and a variety of questions. The programs I most commonly use are IXL and assignments compiled on Quizziz. Both will provide real time support and results to students. Another possibility would be to pair with one of my color by number assignments. This is good option because students have to find their answer on the coloring sheet, if their answer is not there they immediately know that a mistake was made and can has for assistance. Look for corresponding activities in the bundles listed here.\n4. **Assessment**: The quick is a great informal assessment tool, this can be used as either an exit ticket or you may choose to take this as a grade depending on what works for you and your students.\n\nAs technology is progressing, there are many fantastic software programs that schools are acquiring, I believe as students learn they must be receiving instant feedback on their work so they can grow and improve in real time. As a result, my products are focused solely on the skill itself. I am only including a small variety of questions for each topic, my intention is for students to use these notes as a guide as they practice and utilize whichever software/online program/additional practice you are providing.\n\n**Resource List**\n\nThis resource is a part of my 7th grade skills based curriculum that I am building, this is a work in progress and I will be focusing on 7th grade TEKS this year with hopes to expand to 6th and 8th grade. While I am based in Texas and most of the resources will be aligned with the TEKS, everything I am creating is skill based meaning they are not specific to Texas and can be used by anyone! Take a look through the Resource List linked below to see all that is available, it is a live document and will be updated as I go.\n\n7th Grade Math Resource List\n\n**Terms of Use:**\n\nBy purchasing this resource, you are agreeing that the contents are the property of Manic Math Teacher and licensed to you only for classroom/personal use as a single user. By including the steps for each skill this will help to comply with various accommodations we must provide our students. The practice section will include skill based practice problems similar to the example and at least one version of the various ways questions are asked. The quick check section will include at least one problem of each type of question that was seen in the practice section. A suggested use of these notes would be:\n\nInitial Teach: Review any vocabulary and notes with the students to introduce the topic.\n\nGuided Practice: Complete the practice section with students, either as a guided, with a partner, or independently. Review answers immediately.\n\nIndependent Practice: This will need to be supplemented, I personally prefer having students work on an online program which will provide instant feedback and a variety of questions. Look for corresponding activities in the bundles listed here.\n\nAssessment: The quick is a great informal assessment tool, this can be used as either an exit ticket or you may choose to take this as a grade depending on what works for you and your students.\n\nAs technology is progressing, there are many fantastic software programs that schools are acquiring, I believe as students learn they must be receiving instant feedback on their work so they can grow and improve in real time. As a result, my products are focused solely on the skill itself. I am only including a small variety of questions for each topic, my intention is for students to use these notes as a guide as they practice and utilize whichever software/online program/additional practice you are providing.\n\nResource List\n\nThis resource is a part of my 7th grade skills based curriculum that I am building, this is a work in progress and I will be focusing on 7th grade TEKS this year with hopes to expand to 6th and 8th grade. While I am based in Texas and most of the resources will be aligned with the TEKS, everything I am creating is skill based meaning they are not specific to Texas and can be used by anyone! Take a look through the Resource List linked below to see all that is available, it is a live document and will be updated as I go.\n\n7th Grade Math Resource List\n\nTerms of Use:\n\nBy purchasing this resource, you are agreeing that the contents are the property of Manic Math Teacher and licensed to you only for classroom/personal use as a single user. I prefer to have students utilize websites that will provide real time support and results to students. Another possibility would be to pair with one of my color by number assignments. This is good option because students have to find their answer on the coloring sheet, if their answer is not there they immediately know that a mistake was made and can has for assistance. Lesson - Probability - Simple Probability #2
By Manic Math Teacher
Lesson - Simple Probability #2
This product includes notes which can help to introduce or review determining the simple probability of one event with multiple possible outcomes from events such as coins, dice, spinners, and lists.
Intentions
My goal for my products are for students to have solid, skill based resources that they can go back and reference at anytime. A suggested use of these notes would be:
Initial Teach: Review any vocabulary and notes with the students to introduce the topic.
Guided Practice: Complete the practice section with students, either as a guided, with a partner, or independently. Review answers immediately.
Independent Practice: This will need to be supplemented, I personally prefer having students work on an online program which will provide instant feedback and a variety of questions. I prefer to have students utilize websites that will provide real time support and results to students. Another possibility would be to pair with one of my color by number assignments. This is good option because students have to find their answer on the coloring sheet, if their answer is not there they immediately know that a mistake was made and can has for assistance. Look for corresponding activities in the bundles listed here.
Assessment: The quick is a great informal assessment tool, this can be used as either an exit ticket or you may choose to take this as a grade depending on what works for you and your students.
As technology is progressing, there are many fantastic software programs that schools are acquiring, I believe as students learn they must be receiving instant feedback on their work so they can grow and improve in real time. As a result, my products are focused solely on the skill itself. I am only including a small variety of questions for each topic, my intention is for students to use these notes as a guide as they practice and utilize whichever software/online program/additional practice you are providing.
