My students always need a variety of ways to practice their multiplication facts. These sheets were designed to give students the opportunity to skip count horizontally and vertically as well as practice basic facts. This includes three sheets. The first sheet is 2, 5, and 10. The second sheet is 3, 4, and 6. The third sheet is 7, 8, and 9. All sheets have an answer key.

This is a worksheet of solving for slope given two points. There is a modified worksheet guiding students through each problem. This is great for introducing slope or for students who struggle with the concept. Also included is a non-modified version.

Where do we use school mathematics in real life?

The following complete guide sets out ALL the mathematics we do in middle and early high school used in the RSA Public Key Cryptosystem.

RSA Encryption is one of the most modern and powerful methods of encryption and is used by computer scientists, big banks and websites who need to secure data.

Do not be surprised, the list is complete and no other, more complicated mathematics is ever used in RSA Encryption.
Topics done in grade school: Factors, Multiples, Products, Times Tables, Division, Remainders, Integers, Prime Numbers, Composite Numbers, Exponents, Rules for Divisibility etc.

Topics not specifically done in grade school but for which 7th-10th grade students possess ALL the mathematics knowledge: Modular Arithmetic, Successive Squaring, The Euclidean Algorithm, The Euler Phi Function, Euler's Formula, The Extended Euclidean Algorithm

Students enjoy this engaging activity involving Adding and Subtracting negative numbers. Students persevere to complete multi-step problems including negative numbers. Students will follow the order of operations to complete the problems as most problems include parentheses.

Students have fun revealing the picture created using correct answers. Students will troubleshoot incorrect answers and persevere in solving the problem correctly.

Self-checking as image is revealed by correct answers.

This is a simple project, but it adds in real life scenario of what the cost is going out to eat. Students end up shocked at the cost of going out to eat! The students pick out a restaurant of their choice (can download the menu offline), "go out to eat" with three other family members, order, determine cost, sales tax and tip for a total of going out to eat for 4 people. This could be a group project with four students going out to eat and seeing what the cost is for each. Either way, it shows their decimal skills with basic math operations and gives them a new appreciation of going out to eat!

This maze worksheet is great to distribute for classwork, homework, math centers, early finishers, or extra practice. These mazes are designed so the student is able to work out each multiplication fraction problem so they can determine the correct direction to complete the maze. It is also designed for easy grading for the teacher.

PDF, Google Slides & PowerPoint versions as well as the answer key are included.

TIP: If you are using this maze for math centers, simply laminate and use dry erase markers. You can use Expo Cleaner with a Magic Eraser to clean off. After a while, it will leave residue and you may have to print and laminate another.
