The scavenger hunt is designed so that students have to revisit and reread the reading passages multiple times when looking for code words. I honestly can't tell you how many students have barged into my office super anxious and full of regret over decisions surrounding their cell phones. This resource allows you to start having open and honest conversations regarding cell phone safety. Images of cell phones with relatable messages for students to relate to. They'll get to read the message and decide if it's safe or not. Students will also get to brainstorm the positives and negatives of owning a cell, and brainstorm rules they feel they should follow in order to be safe and responsible online. Save lots of money while shopping using coupons. This colorful, cheerful binder organizes your coupons and makes it easier for you to find just the right coupon you are looking for while out shopping.Teach your students or children in your household the value of saving money by saving coupons. Create your own coupon binder by using baseball card holders that you can find at many dollar stores or office supply stores. You can either use a two inch or three inch binder to set it up and place all your dividers in. There are two coupon sorting sheets available. Rather than flipping through the pages in your binder to insert coupons which can take a lot of time, you can use the coupon sorting mats. Once your coupons are all sorted then you can place them in your binder. Children of all ages can help with sorting the coupons. Many kids can also help out with gathering coupons and cutting them out. Have your students write about ways they can help their family save money. there are a couple of writing prompts that you could use to have your students share ways that they can help their families save money. This does not necessarily mean just using coupons. It could mean saving money by turning off the lights when not in use, not taking long showers, or turning in cans for redemption. Some kids might write about a job they do such as a paper route, mowing the grass or shoveling snow. Some students might choose to discuss buying items on sale at the store and not demanding expensive name brand items."Older students can work on the total amount of savings from using coupons. Functional money skills such as counting and identifying money to make purchases are critical to successful daily living. Your students will practice matching the number value to the written value, practicing writing the written value, as well as cutting and pasting the correct currency to the item.

Directions:

• Print and laminate multiple sets of the image cards.
• Divide the class into multiple groups.
• Group members take turns drawing a card from a pile.
• The person who drew a card must not show their team the image or use words to describe it. Ie if it is a rainbow you can only use shapes, lines, and location to describe the drawing and cannot say things like, "it forms after the rain."
• The group member describes and gives directions on how to draw the image.
• The team then tries to use listening skills to copy the drawing based on the directions given.

1. Catch the Compliment: In this game, students write compliments about each other on small pieces of paper. The teacher collects the compliments and reads them aloud. The student who is being complimented gets to catch a small toy or ball.
2. High Five Challenge: This game challenges students to reach a certain goal, such as completing a certain number of math problems. When they achieve the goal, they get a high five from the teacher or another student.
3. Treasure Box: Create a treasure box filled with small toys, stickers, and other fun items. When students do something positive, they get to choose a prize from the treasure box.
