They will then determine what it would cost to bring that amount of water to Athens, GA, in shipping containers from the nearest lake. Students will calculate the volume of a cylinder and a rectangular prism, gas mileage, cost of transport, ratios and proportions and much more.

Triangle Construction Dash Card Game

This is a quickfire and competitive card game that makes triangle construction fun and enjoyable. It helps to develop skills in being able to construct triangles with three levels of difficulty; two sides and an angle, two angles and a side, and three angles.

- Do you want an engaging Groundhog's Day activity covering science, ELA, and math?
- This engaging WebQuest and STEM challenge will help to foster collaboration among your students. They will work with partners and then in teams to find out about groundhogs as you act as the facilitator.
- They will use the information they get from the WebQuest to make a two-dimensional life-sized groundhog burrow with a groundhog in it.!
- If life-sized is too big (because it is huge), you can always have your groups create them half-sized (a whole new math activity). This is the perfect STEAM project to do in January as Groundhog Day is approaching!!

This printable resource includes a task with complete key. Students will use their knowledge of the volume of a prism to do an investigation into fair marketing and sales practices. Lots of containers of consumer products have a "false bottom". Do the retailers cheat us with this or do we get the amount we pay for? Other math topics needed to do this resource successfully include area of circles, ratios and percents.
Nothing compares with ice-cream, and that is why your child will remember this activity for a long time! Did they get cheated with the amount of ice-cream? No better Real-Life Math application than this.

This Area and Circumference of a Circle | Pi and the Lost Digits Escape Room is a fun way to engage your middle schoolers in learning how to calculate area and circumference of Circles! With this no-prep, digital math-based escape room activity, your students will have a great time finding circumference, area, and radius given one circle measurement in order to find the solution to a mystery.
There are 20 problems:
- Calculate the circumference given the radius
- Calculate the area given the radius
- Calculate the radius given the circumference
- Calculate the radius given the area
Based on the premise that Pi has lost its digits, your students will explore five different locations full of activities, jokes and fun facts.
Since this escape room is online (interactive pages) there is very little prep: provide the link, and off they go! There are no locks to configure or clues to hide—everything you need is online. No Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams logins are necessary.
A printable version of the problems is also included.
You can use it as:
★ additional materials for remediation
