Converting Measurements Drawing: Metric to Standard, Standard to Metric

Engaging Conversion Activity:
Students will convert measurements from metric to standard or standard to metric. Based on the answers the students reach, they will draw a picture with a Halloween theme.
My students enjoyed showing their creativity in drawing their jack-o-lanterns based on their guidelines. We hung up the various finished products for the students to enjoy.

Money Sorting Mats-Math Center Activity

The Money Combinations Activity is a great addition for students to practice combining money. This product is a fantastic activity for Math Centers, Whole Class Activity, Partner Practice, or Individualized fun! Students will have different Sorting Mats to show one amount of money, using four different combinations of coins (teachers can set the goal for students to use the least amount of coins/dollar bills). Students will love to challenge themselves to find a common sum with different coin values combined. Laminate the four sorting mats, the amount of money tabs, and the coin templates. Keep all the products in a zip lock bags to re-use year after year.

-10 different dollar amount tabs
-5 money templates (dollar bill, quarter, dime, nickel, and penny).
-Answer Keys included, so students can check their own work
All of the printables come in color for Workstation purposes and black and white for printer friendly purposes.
If teachers have a money kit, students can use the plastic coins rather than the templates included. Students can check their own work with the answer key and record the combinations from the mats on their record sheet. Each combination correct is worth one point.

Math Task Cards - Length of the School Year (Beginning or End)

This package has been set up so that you may complete these task cards at the beginning of the year, as a diagnostic during the first weeks of the school year, and again at the end of the year. The blue task cards are worded in the past tense for the end of the year, while the yellow task cards or written for the beginning of the year. I have included a math reflections page so that students may reflect on their learning at the end of the year. I have also included a blank template for each color so that you may add more cards, if you wish.
These cards cover: time (hours, minutes and seconds), measurement (imperial and metric, marked with a Canadian flag), averaging/mean and multiplication.
Product includes general calendars for 2019-2021, to allow for differentiation and assistance to those that need copy of the calendar to complete the task cards.
