Scattegories is a fun and challenging board game that tests your creativity and quick thinking. I have recreated a classroom version for SPANISH LEARNERS called: ¡PÁREME LA MANO! also called in other countries, TUTTI FRUTI o PARA EL FUEGO. This is a fun game we used to play in school growing up in South America. I have tried in my own classroom and kids LOVE IT! This is such a great game to practice vocabulary and parts of the speech.

This product contains two versions of this game. One for individual play and one for a group game. There are a set of rules for both games but these are just suggested rules as you can set your own depending of the group of kids you teach. Kids will only need a dice, a white board marker and a wiper.

Practice your geometry skills on Pi Day:

This engaging activity will have students practicing their geometry skills while they work their way through stations using pi to solve problems. Students will be directed to color areas of a color sheet with specific colors based on their answers.

The following skills are practiced:

This is a modified polynomials activity for algebra. There are 16 questions that have students find the leading coefficients, constants, degrees, terms, and then classify the polynomials by degree and terms. This game is available in a 5 for 3 bundle. It is a great little twist on a traditional/straight game of Rummy. There are 4 suits of increasing difficulty, with solutions that range between 1 and 13. The twist being that players have to work out the values of x, y, a and b in order to play the game.

This package can be used in conjunction with the free iCell app (by Hudson Alpha), which is available for iPad and Android, as well as mobile devices. Note: the iPhone app is not as advanced as the iPad app as it only gives basic definitions of cell organelles. The app is a 3D interactive way for students to learn about plant and animal cells. You can move the cell around to see where the different cell organelles are located and click on the organelles to read basic, intermediate, or advanced, descriptions. I wish there were interactive programs like this when I had to learn about cells! This unit aligns with the Ontario Grade 8 Science curriculum. One way to use this package is have students use the app to explore the parts of an animal and a plant cell. After searching online for basic cell diagrams, I did not find any that looked similar to the app so I decided to draw a plant and animal cell in 3D to match the iCell app. The drawings match up to the cells used in the app. Students can look at the basic, intermediate, or advanced descriptions from the app and colour the cell using specific colours as identified in the handout. An additional set of questions is included to ensure students explore through each of the descriptions of the plant and animal cell. What is included in this package: -Animal Cell Worksheet – provides the cell organelles and a section to write out the descriptions from the iCell app -Animal Cell Organelle Identification and Colouring Activity -Animal Cell Organelle Identification Activity -Plant Cell Worksheet – provides the cell organelles and a section to write out the descriptions from the iCell app -Plant Cell Organelle Identification and Colouring Activity -Plant Cell Organelle Identification Activity -Additional Questions on Cells -Answer key for Animal Cell Worksheet, Plant Cell Worksheet, and Additional Questions -Plant and Animal Cell Quiz – label cell organelles, compare and contrast differences between plant and animal cells and organelle descriptions where the students have to name the organelle -Answer key to quiz also included I used this with my own grade 8 class and it takes a few days to complete all of the activities. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with this low prep puzzle game. It teaches 21 Saint Paddy's Day related vocabulary both in English and in Irish (Gaeilge)! Suitable for primary school and ESL / EFL classes.

Contains:

• 1 picture - word matching puzzle in English
• 1 picture - word matching puzzle in Irish
• 1 English - Irish word matching puzzle

How to play:

Simply print out and cut up the puzzle pieces and let your pupils put them back together. The resulting shape is that of a shamrock. Students need to match the English / Irish word with the correct picture and the English word with the correct Irish expression.

Print out a few puzzles and turn it into a competition. Whoever resolves the puzzle first, wins. It can be also played in teams.
