The Anticipation Guides can help structure meaningful conversations that reviews what students already know and engages them in critical thinking about the topic they will be exploring. ANTICIPATION GUIDES
There is ONE Anticipation Guide that comes in two different variations:
▶️ Variation #1:
⭐ *Part 1: *The first section of the Anticipation Guide features a list of statements alongside columns labeled "AGREE" and "DISAGREE." Students are tasked with reading each statement and marking either "AGREE" or "DISAGREE" based on their perspective.
⭐ *Part 2: *The second section of the Anticipation Guide prompts students to choose a statement from the list above and delve into its significance to them. They may reflect on how the statement connects to their own lives, share a personal experience related to it, or elaborate on their thoughts concerning its importance in greater detail.
**▶️ Variation #2: **This Anticipation Guide worksheet format includes a list of statements accompanied by columns for "AGREE," "DISAGREE," and "COMMENTS." Students are instructed to read each statement and mark either "AGREE" or "DISAGREE." They are then encouraged to elaborate on their thoughts or ideas regarding each statement in the designated "COMMENTS" column.

SELF-ASSESSMENT
This resource includes a single Social Cues Self-Assessment. Students will use social cues statements to reflect on their ability to recognize, interpret, and respond to nonverbal signals in everyday social situations. They will score the statements using the following scale: 2 for “Regularly,” 1 for “Occasionally,” and 0 for “Never.”
Students will use this assessment as a tool to recognize strengths, spot areas for growth, and build stronger, more empathetic communication skills.
This assessment also serves as a valuable tool for opening meaningful reflection, guiding class discussions, or informing future lessons and support focused on developing social awareness, improving peer relationships, and navigating subtle emotional cues in both in-person and digital communication.

This product includes 1 social story that focuses on being responsible. Vocabulary that is reviewed and discussed in depth include – dependable, accountability, responsible, and irresponsible.
Students will also learn about the following – examples of being responsible, irresponsible behaviors, and how responsibility and irresponsibility differ from one another.
One social story that focuses on being responsible is included in this product as well. The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the character. This product encourages students to understand how someone needs to be responsible for their actions, not breaking promises to others, and following through. Being a good friend and including others are also reviewed in this product.
At the end of the product, you will find 4 role-playing cards that relate with being responsible. Students can role-play each situation and talk about how they would feel if they were in the situation.

How does media effect one's self esteem?
This package contains 6 lessons and a culminating task that will address this topic.
The package is meant to be taught over at least five lessons. With discussion, each page should easily fill a 45- to 60-minute lesson block.
Lessons include:

- self esteem and music videos
- what happens when a "beauty" company helps people see their beauty?
- evolution of an advertisement (print media/photoshopping)

There is currently no final assessment piece included in this package.
Each lesson, except the last, should be started with a gratitude journal page. The idea behind this it to help students see that they have a lot to be grateful for, regardless of what the media may portray to them. The journal pages shouldn’t take anymore than 5 minutes, max. For photo copying purposes, the journal page is placed before the worksheet, for any given lesson.

Being Unique Social Story and Role-Playing Scenarios

This product includes 1 social story that focuses on being unique. Vocabulary that is reviewed and discussed in depth include special, unique, acceptance, confident, positive self-esteem, negative self-esteem, and communication.
Students will learn about how being unique is important, how you feel when you have negative and positive self-esteem, how students can build self-esteem, communicating how you feel to others, but doing so in a respectful manner, how looking and being like everyone else would make the world a boring place and no one would be unique or special, what could be said to someone when they say something that is impolite about something you like or wear in a polite manner, and what makes everyone unique.
One social story that focuses on being unique is included in this product. The social story includes comprehension questions throughout. Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of the characters. This product shares with students the importance of being unique, standing out from the crowd, accepting others for who they are, communicating your feelings effectively with others, and compromising with others.
At the end of the product, you will find 4 role-playing cards that relate with being unique. Students can role-play each situation and talk about how they would feel if they were in the situation.
