Students will observe a pumpkin, noting its appearance, feel and measure it's height and then use different parts of a pumpkin for a sink and float experiment. • "La liste de courses" - An activity that will have your students sticking to a budget when choosing the items they'll need to create the haunted house of their dreams! This activity includes a catalogue of items and prices at a local hardware store, and your students will have to calculate based on quantity, add and multiply decimal numbers, and finalize their total bill which must not surpass 1000$.

• "Potions des monstres" - An activity on ordering decimal numbers from smallest to greatest.

This product features a thoughtful and engaging supplemental activity for Edgar Allan Poe's tale of ultimate revenge, "The Cask of Amontillado." In this mini-project that can be done in class or as homework, students will closely examine Montresor's family crest (or is it!?), then create their own symbolic family crest using meticulous instructions and the template provided. They will also need to thoroughly explain what they have included on their family crest. A detailed lesson plan is included for use on the following day that allows students to showcase and explain their family crests using an imaginative teaching method. This is a fantastic activity to get your students to think symbolically and to reflect upon the ideals of their own families. In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Halloween and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.

In Task 2 students will use the same informational text to complete a crossword puzzle. Within the puzzle there are several hidden letters which will need to be unscrambled on the completion of the puzzle to reveal the second word.

In Task 3 students will have to cut out 27 timeline task cards about important holidays or festivals celebrated in the United States and around the world. When they have finished their task they can glue them onto the answer key which will reveal their third word.

In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word.
