This math notebook is full of guided notes for all 7th grade math standards. A great way to introduce new concepts, or review for state testing. These notebook pages include step-by-step instructions, key vocabulary words, examples, and practice opportunities. A math notebook is a valuable resource for students to use both at home and at school. These 7th Grade math notes can be used during direct instruction, guided practice, or to independently review a topic. They allow for engagement and interaction during instruction, without having to copy too much down.

Included are all 7th grade Common Core standards as well as a few review and extension concepts I have found beneficial for students. This lesson has everything you need to teach a "Thin Slicing" lesson on writing single variable equations from a word problem or real world scenario. These progressively challenging task cards start students with simple algebraic expressions and sentences, then lead students to write equations involving variables on both sides and equations with multiple unknown quantities. This lesson with printable task cards uses Building Thinking Classrooms strategies for teaching math created by Peter Liljedahl. If you have been looking to implement the Building Thinking Classrooms model of instruction, but don't know where to start, this is a great resource for you.

Help your Spanish students work through understanding the difference between Saber and Conocer with these pre-made, no-prep digital or printable activities! Start with some direct instruction with the grammar notes, including how they change meaning in the preterite tense. There are 2 basic practice activities where students analyze a sentence for meaning to choose the correct verb and practice conjugating. The last activity is an interactive Google Slides presentation where students have 2 different drag and drop practices; one asks them to form complete sentences by dragging and dropping tiles together, and the other asks students to match the correct conjugated verb (tense and form) to the English sentence to illustrate the differences in meaning between preterite and imperfect.

There are a few tricks to using these verbs correctly, like "the personal a" with the verb conocer, or the word "que" to mean that when expressing a fact. These notes and practices help students utilize the verbs and the extra grammar points correctly.

Students will use Basic Division Facts / Division fact fluency to work on these long division worksheets that will help build their confidence gradually when they're ready! Teach students the very important concept of the long division algorithm using this beginner's practice worksheet, students must have a good recall of division facts (which are just multiplication facts expressed differently).

   Every year my students struggle with division. The fear of  finding the right number to start the quotient paralyzes them. Over the years I’ve found a couple tricks to get my students started thinking of compatible numbers they could try as the quotient and then work backwards or forwards depending on the answer.
