Spanish students can practice conversing with these simulated conversations.  Answering questions can be difficult for students, but these 5 (MORE) interpersonal speaking tasks give students some general information about what they will hear and how they should answer.  An audio link accompanies each conversation, with a 20 second timed pause for students to answer.  There is also a rubric for easy feedback!

These simulated conversations mimic the AP Spanish Simulated Conversation task and are also great practice for Seal of Biliteracy tests (like AAPPL) where interpersonal speaking is one of the tasks. Start practicing early!

The Argumentative Essay on the AP Spanish Language and Culture® exam is arguably one of the most challenging parts! Students need a guided way to reflect on their argumentative essay writing and improve it. I needed a way to differentiate instruction and streamline feedback. I created a step-by-step organizer that is digital and printable, so it can be used with Distance Learning or when you have students in person.

This graphic organizer independent work is perfect to assign after students have written one essay for a grade or for feedback and are getting ready to write another one. It takes students through a series of steps asking them to reflect on their past work and the feedback it received. It asks them to review the rules and requirements of the argumentative essay, and it asks them to write certain parts of 2 practice essays. These smaller parts are sections of the essay that, when done well, set the student up for success with the rest of the essay. These small parts will be turned in for feedback from the teacher.

All parts of this product can be changed or customized to meet your students' individual needs!

AP Spanish Language and Culture® Unit 5 explores the factors that influence quality of life. Making reading comprehension for fun and interesting! Explore a trending vacation method by reading about Ecotourism! The article and follow up activities are provided and can be assigned digitally or in print form.

First, students will read a blog post about ecotourism in Panama. While they read, students will take notes on the important bullet points they read about. Next, students will write 6 comprehension questions on a separate page. Finally, they will write the answers to their questions on the same page where they took their notes. Either later in class or the next day, students will exchange their questions. Each student will answer the comprehension questions that another student wrote. This kind of activity leads to students paying more attention to detail in their reading and also in their question writing!

How can I use this product?

• One reading; 2 activities! I love when I can take one source and use it in more than one way!
• Students read and take their own notes about what's important in the article

• Take it one step further: have students correct their classmates answers with their pre-made answer key! Have them work in pairs or small groups to clear up any confusions and ensure good comprehension.

These 3 fun dibujos misteriosos (in Google Sheets™) are just the ticket! These digital activities work great on a laptop, desktop, Chromebook, tablet, or any other mobile device that can access the internet. This resource can be used as a pre- or post-test, quizzes, checks for understanding, grammar review, homework, and more! Because it is completely digital, this resource is perfect for distance-learning and make-up work as well. Plus, it's no prep which means no printing, copying, or storage. This product includes:

This resource includes two pages for simple conjugation (subject and verb or simple sentence) and one page with a fill-in-the-blank short story (20 blanks) and 10 comprehension questions. The short story is available in two versions: with comprehension questions in English or Spanish. Additionally, some of the verbs to be conjugated in the short story are NOT reflexive (salir, llegar, desayunar, cenar).

It's the end of a unit or the end of the school year.... what would be FUN and motivating to students?  Learning how to text in Spanish!  This digital activity contains 2 YouTube videos and interactive Google Slides activity will teach students the abbreviations of Spanish texting.   Print the teacher answer key for students who want a hard copy!

The questions in this activity are written in Spanish, but the language level is basic and should be accessible to students from Novice High and up.  The video itself presents Spanish terms with explanations in English.
