This no prep activity allows students to show what they've learned in the Parts of an Insect Emergent Reader or use it alone or as part of your own insect unit.

Students will sort crawly creatures into two categories: Insects or Not! A paragraph is included at the top to make sure the students remember just what makes an insect an insect.

Print, laminate, and cut the Easter egg halves. Students will match the lowercase letter to a word that begins with the same sound. Prints four to a page. These adorable candy bags are perfect to teach students one-to-one correspondence. Students place paper candy pieces (or m&ms if you're feeling extra fun!) on the numbered candy bags. There are optional "errorless" candy bags available where students can place one piece over one circle to count each number. Perfect for lower elementary and special education.

Students can color the pictures, cut the pieces apart, and reassemble them in numerical order on a template. Three designs are available: a soccer ball, monkey, and apple. Templates include those with numbers and those without for differentiation.

This is just one page of my St. Patrick's Day Math Activity Bundle! Students can use the pictures to count the groups and find their combined totals. Based on ability level, students can use the single tens frame and the number cards to represent a given number using manipulatives. Students who are ready for more of a challenge can roll dice to create an addition problem and use the tens frames to represent and solve the addition problem using manipulatives.

Students can use this blending board to "drive" small cars to each letter, stopping at the circles to state the letter sounds. Students can "drive" the cars faster or more slowly to practice blending sounds to make words.

Use this activity to sequence the events in There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Turkey. Each event is pictured on a turkey feather that, when completed, creates an adorable turkey that sequences the story. Print on cardstock to make it more durable or mat it on a large piece of construction paper. Students will color and cut out the turkey feathers and body, glue them together, and have a great "craftivity" that tells what happens in this adorable book.

Students will cut out images of a butterfly in every stage of its life and paste the images in the correct order. This is a simple science lesson that will offer a visual to pair with a lesson on the life cycle. It could also be used as an assessment at the end of the lesson.
