These adorable candy bags are perfect to teach students one-to-one correspondence. Students place paper candy pieces (or m&ms if you're feeling extra fun!) on the numbered candy bags. There are optional "errorless" candy bags available where students can place one piece over one circle to count each number. Perfect for lower elementary and special education.

Students will count pictures in a ten frame and in a collection and match them to the corresponding number.

This super sight word game is a great way to get your little super heroes excited about reading! Game cards include pre-primer, primer, first grade, and second grade Dolch sight words, each marked for easy differentiation based on level. Download, print, laminate, and cut the cards and spinner. Students will spin and land on a number (one or two to practice as many words as possible). Some spaces say "draw 2." That means the student will draw and read two cards. On "action" spaces, you get to choose what the student can do. Use these spaces as an extra turn, lose a turn, or a battle! In a battle, each student can choose a card and attempt to read it. Any card read is kept; cards read incorrectly will return to the pile. Clip art in the game is from Krista Wallden with Creative Clips.

This is a fun, low prep activity that kids will love doing around the holidays! Students will match and sort numbers to number words, lines, and objects. Laminate all parts and attach velcro if desired. Perfect for fast finishers, independent work, RtI, and special education.

This digital resource offers 24 memory games in 6 engaging game modes:

1. Find the Same Picture: Choose from 3 different decks, featuring Valentine symbols, chocolate candies, and hearts.
2. Find the Word: Practice vocabulary by matching the word to the corresponding picture in the Valentine symbols and chocolate candies decks.
3. Match the Heart Cards: Enjoy a unique challenge in the hearts deck by pairing numbers 1 to 9 in a heart with cards displaying 1 to 9 hearts.

For added convenience, we have included four boxes at the bottom of the slide, one for each team. Easily keep score by clicking on the counters.

To ensure variety, there is a shuffle button on the bottom left corner that randomizes the cards, so you never play the same game twice. If it leads you to the same set with the same card arrangement, simply click the button again.

Please note that this is a PowerPoint Show with enabled Macros, allowing the cards to be shuffled effectively. Be sure to enable content when prompted after opening the file for this function to work smoothly.

If you prefer not to enable Macros, don't worry! You can manually choose the set you want to play from the first slide (Home Page) instead of shuffling the cards.

The Napping House by Don and Audrey Wood has been a favorite story in my classes for years, and with a librarian’s suggestion, I brought it to life through yoga for the first time in 2012. Happy Halloween! Children look forward to Halloween to explore the world of all that is scary in a safe way. The Spooky Walk is a call-and-response style seated marching yoga game to get kids in the Halloween spirit. It has been one of the most popular activities of all my years of teaching. When we do this song and game, we get to explore the emotion of being afraid in a safe space. You can take the time to explain that it’s all pretend and give kids practice with the vocabulary related Halloween and being afraid. Words such as scary, ghost, escape, safety, and pretend are all good words to practice prior to this activity. If you have very young or extra sensitive kids, please take the time to make sure they feel safe and know this is just pretend prior to starting.
