Decomposing numbers can be fun! Yet, decomposing is a difficult concept for many kindergartners. From experience, I find that it needs to be taught continuously throughout the year in a variety of different ways. This activity will have your students sorting colored eggs into baskets to show more than one way to make numbers. You will receive four worksheets to decompose numbers in two different ways. Students will have a great time with discovery and fun as they learn different ways to make numbers. Get your students to use their higher-level thinking skills as they have fun with math and decomposing numbers. Students will show off their knowledge by drawing eggs in baskets to show ways to decompose numbers and write equations. Spring Letter Sound Fluency Strips

Use this low prep Spring activity to practice letter sound fluency in preschool, kindergarten or first grade. The cute thematic design will keep students engaged and interested while having fun and developing critical early literacy skills. Simply print, cut and laminate the 8 individual strips of letters and they are ready for use. Students point to each letter as they say the sound. A single strip can be repeated several times to build fluency. These can also be used to identify lower case letter names.

Suggested Uses:

♥ Pass out strips to students as a quick warm up before small group literacy instruction.

♥ Use the strips as a reading center activity. Students can work in pairs to check each other and trade strips for a second round. The seasonal strips are great to use throughout the months of March, April and May.

This Easter number seek and find activity makes a great hands on math center for the preschool or kindergarten classroom. Students will have fun finding and tracing numbers with these Easter egg themed number recognition matching mats. Each number mat is available in color and in black and white.

What Is Included

• 1 Number 0-5 Mat

Types of Activities

• Create a hands on math center by placing the mats and cards in a center.
• Create a write and wipe activity by laminating the mats or placing them in page protectors and providing a dry erase marker.
• Create a sensory bin by adding the number cards inside a sensory bin for students to find.
• Write the Room activity where the teacher hides the cards around the room and students find them to write or trace on their mats.
• Find and Cover activity where students draw a card then use various magnets, mini erasers, or bingo chips to cover the correct number.
• Find and Dot activity where students draw a card then use a bingo marker to dot the correct number.

By having a variety of ways to complete, students will stay engaged as they look for and find each number on the mats.

The mats to this activity are no prep. You simply print and hand out or place in the desired center. The mats can be laminated or placed in page protectors for a reusable activity.
