HTML CSS Responsive Restaurant Menu Template

This responsive HTML/CSS template allows students to create and style their own restaurant menu while learning valuable skills in web design and career skills. Use it in the classroom as a fun activity or project. It's also a great resource for classes looking to create a professional menu mockup. With this versatile template, students can really show off their creativity.

You will receive a .txt file and an .html file with the source code for the profile template you see in the preview video. All you have to do is save the file, and upload it (copy/paste works as well) to use with your preferred code-editing program!

This career unit gives students an introduction to the manufacturing career cluster and what a career in this field would be like. This is perfect for a career, technology, CTE or business class.

The included PowerPoint presentation can be used by the teacher for whole class instruction, or provided to the students electronically (or as a printout) for them to review individually. Students use close reading skills with a short informational passage to learn about the career field and answer questions to use critical thinking skills and demonstrate their understanding. Two different puzzles are included to learn different jobs in the career and to reinforce vocabulary skills. An individual project to research the assembly line process and creatively present that information using a technology of the student’s choice offers students an opportunity to understand the impact this invention had on manufacturing careers. Additionally, a group project to create a product package is provided to simulate the career and allow students to utilize critical thinking skills and teamwork. Finally, a short reflection questionnaire gives students the opportunity to reflect and analyze their learning as they determine if this career field is of interest to them.

The project was created for grades 7-8 but could easily be used with high school students. The teacher can choose to use some or all of the provided lesson options included in this resource.

Welcome to Engineering and Technology! Before we begin to see how engineering and technology affect our lives on a daily basis, let’s look at what is encompassed under the CTAE (Career, Technical and Agricultural Education) umbrella. We are going to do this by looking at a CTAE Pathway at the college level vs. a Math/Science Pathway at the college level. We are going to look at Kennesaw State University’s programs in several of these categories. Since KSU’s merger with Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Technology, this is a great place to look at several college options in each of these pathways.

This digital student portfolio project for Google Sites is the perfect way to help your students showcase their work in a professional, organized, and user-friendly way. With this product, you can quickly create portfolios that highlight student work, achievements, and more. This project can range anywhere from 6th grade to 12th grade. Depending on the age, it takes them about 2-3 days to a week from my personal experience with my students.

What’s It Like Working for a Top Technology Company project gives students an opportunity to learn more about the work environment at one of the large technology firms and what actually working there would be like. This is perfect for a technology, business or marketing class, or a class that focuses on careers. Students research their company of choice via the company’s career website as well as by searching for additional information on the Internet to create a presentation in their choice of Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides or Prezi (www.prezi.com). Specific guided questions for the presentation are given, along with requirements for the formatting of the project.

These are fun to share for a career night or Open House too. The project was created for grades 7-8 but could easily be adapted for older students.

Give middle school students a chance to learn more about careers and business as they work with a team to create their own teen business!

This unit focuses on students exploring many of the aspects of creating their own business and introduces some of the day-to-day requirements of that business. Students choose a business with their team, prepare a business plan, advertising materials and a budget and finally reflect on their learning utilizing a variety of MS Office products or Google Products, and a choice of a variety of free Web 2.0 tools such as Audacity, Paint, Canva, Adobe Express and others specified in each section of the lesson. Students can choose from available software options, or the teacher can specify which software they should use for each project.

Design a Web Site using Weebly utilizes the free Web 2.0 tool www.weebly.com which allows students to create a web site or blog free. No download is required to use the product, making it easy for teachers who are not able to download software on classroom computers to still give their students a choice in learning.

In these lessons, students are provided with a quick tutorial, as well as links to other resources to help them with their designs. The tutorial is intended to help students get started with the program and then use the resources within the program to refine their creations.

In this lesson, students learn about copyright laws as they relate to the use of music by working with a team and researching actual court cases about them, creating a presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides, and then presenting and defending that decision to the class. Perfect for technology, career exploration, business law and music classes. This lesson was designed for middle school (grades 6-8) but could be used in any secondary classroom.
