"So You Think You Know Directions?!" : An SEL Classroom Activity
By Jeni Donath
"So You Think You Know Directions?!" is an absolute hit for my students! Prepare for a fun, engaging, and new favorite classroom activity for all! This activity focuses on multiple social emotional learning topics - attentive listening, awareness, team building, perseverance, respectful communication, and SO much more ALL in ONE activity! This digital download comes with everything you need for your next classroom lesson - detailed instructions, ready-to-print cards, and a guide for the teacher! Your students will all work together to complete one goal - get from person #1 to the last person, without skipping anyone in between! Each card comes with a different task that each student will be asked to complete. The cards must be completed in order, but you are only able to know what is on your card and no one else's and participants aren't able to talk (cue the attentiveness!) Didn't quite get it the first time... or the second... maybe it took a third try? No worries... cue the perseverance and respectful communication! A bonus to increase engagement - many of the cards include a task that is a bit silly (why not throw in fun ways to build confidence into this lesson, too?!) This lesson is truly a favorite for all with so many great SEL topics built in.

*Friendship Flowers- A visual cue to help children remember some of the skills they can use to make and keep friends.
*Please keep in mind that bullying is NEVER ok. Teaching children how to handle hurt feelings does not mean that you tolerate bullying. If you feel that there is bullying behavior in your school, it is your responsibility as a teacher to end it.

This printable book is designed to help children identify the emotions that other people might be feeling. Each page contains an illustration of a child and a short description of what that child has experienced, followed by the question, "How does ____ feel?"
For example, on one page a girl is shown with an ice cream cone that has fallen to the ground. The text on that page says, "Ella dropped her ice cream cone on the sidewalk. How does Ella feel?"
Teachers or parents can use the mini-stories on each page to help children identify and talk about their own emotions as well as the emotions of others. Children are encouraged to look at facial features and body language to help to identify the feelings of other people.
You can also purchase each of these packets individually:

By Jeni Donath
"Caught Ya Being Respectful" is a fun and engaging activity that not only gets students talking about being respectful and what that looks like, but it also encourages them to make connections of people (that they know and often admire!) that are showing respect around them as well! This activity includes everything needed for your next classroom lesson on respect, including two worksheets (Wanted Poster and Bonus Activity!) as well as different ideas that you can do with the finished products! My students LOVED this and it was fun for our teachers to see the outcome as well. We got a lot of learning and laughs out of this activity!

Grief and Loss Portfolio Project - Coping with Death
By All Therapy Resources
When a loved one passes away, making sense of the grief that comes as part of this experience can often be difficult and overwhelming. With Grief and Loss Portfolio Project - Coping with Death, you'll get an accessible resource that helps young people make sense of the emotions they are feeling in a supportive environment.
This portfolio project starts with facilitating open dialogue amongst those affected. This constitutes an important first step for moving forward, finding peace, and otherwise healing from a traumatic event. Since every individual is different and will cope with loss differently, this project allows individuals to explore their own journey at their own pace in whatever form or fashion works best for them such as journaling, breath work, and much more. And when talking about death becomes too difficult, this resource provides alternative strategies to develop coping skills which will serve them during future times of emotional distress.
This portfolio project is perfect for school counselors and school psychologists. It can accompany a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum or health lessons as well. Download this portfolio workbook activity and you'll have all the tools you need to help your students and families navigate loss delicately and thoughtfully.
This portfolio is divided into six individual lessons. You can choose to use each lesson in isolation or scaffold through the lessons one by one within a group or individual sessions. The six lessons include:
1. All About Grief
2. Coping with My Emotions
3. When Someone You Love Dies
4. Letter from Your Loved One
5. My Memory Jar
6. Caring for Your Grief Monster
