Teachers tell me they can't integrate yoga and mindfulness for two reasons: They don't know how and they don't have time. I hear that 100%.

This product is made to help you SAVE time, but first, you have to invest your time. If you spend ten minutes a day, 3 times a week in September and October, by November you only spend 5 minutes, and by January kids are doing this all by themselves. Sing and flow through one of our favorite yoga holiday songs!

This activity was one I did when I first started teaching yoga to children. When I noticed how mystified the children were with the holiday season, a colleague of mine suggested pairing a pose with each of the 12 Days of Christmas. You can play the song alone, you can sing the song as you do the poses, or you can practice the poses one at a time and simply enjoy the song afterward. 

It’s super fun to try to remember which pose goes with which verse and to have the children attempt to teach it back in order.

If you’re concerned about this material not being secular, use caution. This is best practiced in environments where mentioning and celebrating Christmas is welcomed.
