How to prepare this resource:

Prep for this activity DOES INCLUDE SOME TIME ON YOUR PART! Make a copy of each page, insert into clear pocket, dry erase pocket, or use as individual worksheets and watch as the giggles get started. My students LOVE these activities. I cannot make them fast enough.

Detailed instructions for each activity are set out at the top of each activity and could not be easier.

There is a little cutting and laminating involved with some activities but many use clear folders to make your job easier!

Perfect for a sub binder, emergency plans, or as a back up activity when you happen to have a few minutes to spare. A great set to have on hand as an extra centre activity at Halloween time. Your K-3 Immersion students will love them!

When to use this resource in the classroom:

These activity sheets are Halloween themed and can be used for the entire month of October and even into the week following Halloween. Students love using them and they can be helpful for follow-up assessment. Just in time for progress reporting period!

I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. Do you teach a foreign language to your students? This packet contains two center activities that help teach colors in English, Spanish and French! It is differentiated so that students who need more help can use the colored word cards and those who are more advanced can use the black and white cards. The first center activity, the students match the color name to the color splat on the color mats. Boost your students' vocabulary surrounding Fall and Halloween with this Make-Your-Own Bingo activity suitable for all ages and all levels of French.

This activity is a great way to have your students create their own bingo cards and then to play with them. It comes with many versions depending on your Core French groups.

1. Two versions, one with instructions in English and one with instructions in French, which prompt your students to color, cut and paste to create their bingo card.
2. Two versions, one with instructions in English and one with instructions in French, which prompt your students to create their own illustrations, cut and paste to their bingo card.

Choose the version applicable to your students' level and then they'll cut out their squares and paste them to their bingo card. Take this to the next level by laminating their cards so that they can use a dry-erase marker as a bingo dabber!

This comes with the call-out cards.

42 playing cards to print on heavy paper or card stock

This card game is an excellent way to practice and memorize verb conjugations. It will have your students speaking to each other in French the whole time! They will make affirmative and negative statements and will use EST-CE QUE to form simple questions.

One player distributes five cards to each player (2 to 4 per group). The rest of the cards are placed in the "pioche". One player begins the game by asking another player to give him a card. He or she might say, "Est-ce que tu es triste?"

Dots and boxes game - Days and Months - No prep printable

An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure and pronunciation for the learning the days and months in French. This is a one-page dots & boxes game including directions. This game could be laminated and used repeatedly with dry-erase markers or played on an iPad with annotation/whiteboard tools. This game is included in my Primary French months and days bundle - Les jours et les mois.

Objective: Complete more boxes than your component. Each player draws lines using a different color. On your turn, make a horizontal or vertical line from one dot to another. Say the words on either side of the line you drew. If you complete a box on your turn, draw an X in the box using your color. Once all of the boxes have been completed, count to see who got the most.
