Boost your students' vocabulary surrounding Fall and Halloween with this Make-Your-Own Bingo activity suitable for all ages and all levels of French.

This activity is a great way to have your students create their own bingo cards and then to play with them. It comes with many versions depending on your Core French groups.

1. Two versions, one with instructions in English and one with instructions in French, which prompt your students to color, cut and paste to create their bingo card.
2. Two versions, one with instructions in English and one with instructions in French, which prompt your students to create their own illustrations, cut and paste to their bingo card.

Choose the version applicable to your students' level and then they'll cut out their squares and paste them to their bingo card. Take this to the next level by laminating their cards so that they can use a dry-erase marker as a bingo dabber!

French months and days cut and paste activity - Les jours et les mois

These cut and paste worksheets will help your beginner French students learn the days of the week and the months. Great for core French and immersion schools!

How to use these worksheets:

One worksheet is included for the days of the week and the 12 months are on two sheets. Have your students cut off the bottom part of the worksheet where indicated with scissors. Then have them cut out the days and months. Now they're ready to paste the days and months in the right spot on the paper. They should put the days and months in chronological order.

Next to each numbered space there are lines where students write out the days and months to help with spelling. When they've finished they'll enjoy coloring the numbers and the little black and white image at the top of the page. This activity is included in my French months and days bundle. These word search worksheets will help your beginner French students of all ages learn the days of the week and the months. Great for core French, immersion schools, and even beginner secondary students!

This resource includes a worksheet with a blank grid for students to create their own word search. All of the days and months are written on the sheet. When they've finished making it they can exchange with another student and solve each solve the puzzle made by their classmate. 3 ready-made word searches are included. You can choose which one to give your students as each one is of a different level of difficulty. I like to print the ready-made search that I want to use on one side of a paper, and print the make your own version on the other side. I have used this resource with 8 year old students as well as 14 years olds. Please note that due to the nature of the word search I have not included accents in this resource. J'ai...Qui a...? French Numbers 0 - 30 - I have...Who has?

This game includes 31 cards. Depending on class size you could either give each student more than one card or have them play with a partner. I recommend printing out and laminating these cards if possible so that you can use them over and over again. Two sets are included. The first set is for beginners. It has clues in which the numbers are written in alphabetical and numerical form. The second set only has the numbers written in numerical form. You can get the Spanish version here.

Here's how this game works. Once each student has a card (or cards), the one who has the card that says J'ai la première carte. Je commence, begins the game. He says, for example, Je commence. J'ai seize, qui a zéro? The person who has the card with zéro on it says, J'ai zéro. Qui a douze? And so the game goes on until the last card is called and that student's card will say, J'ai quinze, C'est fini!

Another idea is to prepare two sets of cards, divide your class into two groups and let each group have a go to see which team can get through the entire deck of cards the fastest. It's a lot of fun, and though you can play with younger students the older ones love this game just as much.

This literacy center or independent work activity for primary core French or primary French immersion is a hands-on way for your students to practice conjugating the irregular French verb mettre in the present tense. L'automne - Lecteurs débutants - French Reader Cut and Paste

This set of five RÉSOUS-LE / SOLVE THE SENTENCE hands-on puzzle activities will keep your primary French students engaged while learning to read by putting words together to form sentences. This set follows an autumn theme and includes sight words (mots fréquents) for first and second grade.

In addition to having fun while reading, students will be challenged and develop reasoning skills while solving each of the 5 puzzles.
