These Dental Health Activities are a Dental Health Month (February) educational package designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. A range of activities that can be used as individual exercises or as part of a lesson plan depending on what works best for you and your students are included in the package. The most important thing to remember is that in order to empower children to take charge of their oral health, they need to understand that their mouth is a window to the health of the rest of their body, therefore it is important they keep it healthy by:

• Brushing their teeth for two minutes, twice a day.
• Selecting less-sugary foods and beverages over sugar-filled ones.
• Two annual visits to the dentist.

Some Activities included in this pack :

• Healthy Smile Vocabulary worksheet: a worksheet with definitions for 10 dental vocabulary words and an exercise to practice ordering them alphabetically.
