**

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Food Allergy Presentation Google Slides and PDF- Engaging narrated presentation featuring a silly duck, named Quackers who learns about food allergies with your students. The digital education portion is just under ten minutes long and includes a song to help students remember allergens and ways to keep food allergic students safe. (34 Slides or 34 Page PDF)

Digital activities - Students answer questions on food allergies by moving symbols over the correct answers, or writing in a text box. Everything digital is narrated with audio as an option for students, which will especially help the early elementary grades. (33 Slides)

Template for you to make your own custom sign (not editable, you can print and write in the allergens you need). Tags for bookbags, lunches, field trips, whatever you need to pin them on. Includes the allergens and blank templates to write in what you need as well. There are additional tags that say "I am Gluten Free, Vegan, Dairy Free, and Lactose Intolerant" for students that don't fit the typical IgE allergy. There are also tags that read, "Allergy Alert Epinephrine Inside" and "Allergy Alert Emergency Medication Inside." (25 Pages)

Answer Keys - for both digital and PDF activities. (5 pages and 10 pages)

Teacher Education & Resources Packet - discussing ways to keep your student safe and some considerations to make as a teacher and classroom with a student with food allergies. Includes resources for educators as well. (22 pages)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do you need this in your classroom?

15% of all food allergic children have had a reaction in school. Over 40% of food allergic children have experienced a severe reaction. Children with food allergies NEED the help of their classmates and teacher if they experience a food allergic reaction!

Help educate your students on this important and necessary topic! It’s an important step towards awareness, increased inclusivity of food allergic students, and helping aid in keeping students safe so they can have the opportunity to learn the best they are able, without fear of their own safety.

Conscious Discipline Slides “Breathing Poses". Fall/Autumn.

By Art Shack by JB

Need an awesome Movement Activity? I have just the thing for you! This creative Conscious Discipline “Breathing Pose” resource was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. It is best to use one of these images per day or per week, so these resources can last a while. Focus on the specific animal shown and discuss where this animal would be and how it would breathe and pose to gain focus. Make sure you demonstrate the pose with your class. Ask a student to help demonstrate this pose, and the sillier you are, yet focused, the more the students will want to participate with you in each of these fun and motivating animal breathing poses. This is a great SEL strategy! I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy.

Dental Health Worksheets and Activities | Dental Health Month | Teeth Hygiene

By Innovative Classroom Ideas

These Dental Health Activities are a Dental Health Month (February) educational package designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. A range of activities that can be used as individual exercises or as part of a lesson plan depending on what works best for you and your students are included in the package. The most important thing to remember is that in order to empower children to take charge of their oral health, they need to understand that their mouth is a window to the health of the rest of their body, therefore it is important they keep it healthy by:

  • Brushing their teeth for two minutes, twice a day.
  • Selecting less-sugary foods and beverages over sugar-filled ones.
  • Two annual visits to the dentist.

Some Activities included in this pack :

  • Healthy Smile Vocabulary worksheet: a worksheet with definitions for 10 dental vocabulary words and an exercise to practice ordering them alphabetically.
  • Things that make me smile! writing activity: A worksheet that asks children to write sentences about things that make them smile (e.g., “I smile when I play with friends.”).
  • Daniel Goes to the Dentist reading activity: A reading exercise on dental health that includes a quiz at the end.
  • Smile Activities worksheet: A coloring page that incorporates activities to teach kids the value of sealants and familiarize them with dental terms.
  • Healthy Smile pledge certificate: A pledge certificate that kids can sign to show that they’re committed to maintaining good dental hygiene.
  • Teeth Brushing calendar: A monthly and weekly teeth brushing calendar with toothbrush and floss icons for students to color in each time they brush and floss.
  • Good for My Teeth, Bad for My Teeth worksheet: A coloring page designed to assist kids in distinguishing between foods that are healthy for their teeth and those that are unhealthy.

This fun dental health printable activity will help kids learn about their teeth and how to take care of them. Children can use this emergent reader to color and read the dental health worksheets that can be printed, turning them into adorable children’s books about teeth. This set of printable dental health activities is ideal for students in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades as well as toddlers and preschoolers. To prepare for dental health month, an upcoming all-about-me activity for kids, or an impending dental appointment, just print the preschool dental health printables.
