Glimmers, which are the opposite of triggers are those moments of pure joy and serenity that light up their lives. I use the materials to share and practice glimmers with my students & after just 3 days back the kids have already started using the term "glimmer" when something brings them joy!

The word Glimmers originates from Deb Dana, LCSW, psychotherapist, and author who coined the term. Glimmers which is the opposite of a trigger are those fleeting instances that bring us warmth and peace, offering a profound positive impact on our mental health. This product includes 1 social story that focuses on feeling worried. Vocabulary that is reviewed and discussed in depth include – feeling worried, positive mindset, negative mindset, and feeling confident.

Students will also learn about the following – what could make you feel worried, what could you do to feel better if you were worried, how to improve a positive mindset, and what to do if you have a negative mindset.

One social story that focuses on a student feeling worried is included in this product as well. The social story includes comprehension questions throughout.
