This is a fun and silly St. Patrick's Day activity to get your students writing. They can read the poem Five Crazy Leprechauns and then create their own little poem. There is a page that lays out the way to write the poem. Students will need to know what an adjective and verb is. If you have older students and want to extend it for them print the 'Create your own Leprechaun Poem' table twice and have the students start at 10 leprechauns. You can choose whether your students have to rhyme or if it is a free style poem. There are so many ways you can use this in the classroom. Included is also a cute page for them to write their own poem on.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with this low prep puzzle game. It teaches 21 Saint Paddy's Day related vocabulary both in English and in Irish (Gaeilge)! Suitable for primary school and ESL / EFL classes.

How to play:

Create St. Patrick's Day class books with your students. Have your students think, draw and write about a variety of topics. Assemble your book by choosing a color cover or a black and white cover to save on ink to laminate and put your book together. Add student pages to the back using a binder ring or simply stapling the corner. Choose either the primary or secondary lined paper for your students. Depending on how skilled your students are at writing I’ve included paper with sentence starters for students to trace or paper without sentence starters. Differentiate to best meet the needs of your students.

There are blank pages with both primary and secondary lined paper included in this product so students can make up their own sentences.

I love making class books to display in our class. The kiddos always take pride in their work and they also get a chance to read their classmates page as well each. This creates a great sense of belongingness as you build a classroom community.
