Fractions Jeopardy Game: Engaging and Editable

Unleash the excitement of fractions with this interactive Jeopardy game in PowerPoint! With 25 dynamic fraction questions and answers, this resource is fully editable, allowing you to customize the content to best suit your students' needs.

How to Play:

1. Divide your students into up to 5 teams.
2. Play the PowerPoint presentation.
3. On slide number 3 (HOME), you'll find 25 banknotes ranging from $100 to $500. Clicking on any of them will lead you to a different question.

Answering the Fraction Question:

• The question remains the same throughout ("What fraction of this shape is colored?"), but the colored portion of the shape changes each time.
• To reveal the answer, click on the girl at the bottom of the slide. A new slide will appear, presenting the answer in four different ways:
  • The shape divided into equal parts, with the fraction represented in each.
  • The addition of all colored equal parts (e.g., 1/3 + 1/3=?).
  • The result represented in numbers (e.g., 2/3).
  • The result represented in words (e.g., two-thirds).

Customizable and Easy to Use:

• On the question slide, select the chart representing the shape and use Chart Tools to edit the data. You can change the number of portions of the shape and color the desired number of portions.
• For a fresh set of questions to challenge your students, easily modify the links of the 25 buttons (banknotes) on slide number 3.

Dans ce jeu, jusqu'à 24 élèves peuvent jouer ! Distribuez une carte à chaque élève (il y a 6

nombres fractionnaires (fractions mixtes), 6 fractions impropres, 6 droites numériques et 6 représentations illustrées). 4 élèves se partageront une représentation.

Je joue cela en demandant aux élèves, sans mots, de tenir leurs cartes et de se promener dans la salle pour trouver les pairs de leur classe qui ont une carte qui correspond à leur représentation. Ils recherchent des fractions et des équivalences décimales.

Si vous avez 18 élèves ou moins dans votre classe, vous pouvez également coller les cartes avec des lignes numériques autour des murs de la classe et distribuer les 18 cartes restantes et demander à vos élèves de trouver la ligne numérique qui correspond à leur carte.

The game styles are tic-tac-toe, squares and a game board to offer a variety of methods for supplemental instructions. These would be great for centers, partner games, fast finishers, test prep, etc. Each game includes student practice sheets that include both directions on how to complete each skill with an example as well as guided templates if need to help students foster independence while they practice challenging skills.

This product is a digital puzzle that requires students to complete 25 comparing fractions equations with different denominators. The link to the digital puzzle is on a clickable PDF that you would download once purchased. Students will put the symbols, <,>, or = in the answer box. This activity is no prep and is self checking. If the student puts the correct answer in, the answer box will turn green and a piece of the digital puzzle will appear in the green box to the right. If the student puts in the wrong answer, the answer box will turn red and no puzzle piece will appear.
