5th Grade World Languages Worksheets (by date, oldest first)

Your students will get excited for this activity which will have them hiding "pieces" of a ripped treasure map around the class and finding the locations in your classroom of their peers' "pieces." In fact, take it from my grade 6's who begged me to make more activities exactly like this one... So I did. They try these out before you guys do and let me know what's fun - they've given this the seal of approval.

Your sneaky investigators will need to piece together the map by collecting the ordered pairs of the map components in their handy collection journal, will plot their points in the treasure map and find the location of the treasure chest! In this activity, they'll be focusing on the first quadrant, ordered pairs and X and Y axes.

Included in this 8-page activity is:

• An explanation page which details how the activity works.
• A "collection" journal for them to track their findings.
• A "cartesian treasure map" for them to "plot" their broken map pieces and rebuild the treasure map to find the buried treasure.
• An answer key.
• Enough printable cards for 35 students.

This works amazingly for a sub and takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour for the students to hide the map parts, find the map parts, and then rebuild the map in their cartesian plane - and finally, to find that loot! YAR MATEYS!

These word search worksheets will help your beginner French students of all ages learn the days of the week and the months. Great for core French, immersion schools, and even beginner secondary students!

This resource includes a worksheet with a blank grid for students to create their own word search. All of the days and months are written on the sheet. When they've finished making it they can exchange with another student and solve each solve the puzzle made by their classmate. 3 ready-made word searches are included. You can choose which one to give your students as each one is of a different level of difficulty. I like to print the ready-made search that I want to use on one side of a paper, and print the make your own version on the other side. I have used this resource with 8 year old students as well as 14 years olds. Please note that due to the nature of the word search I have not included accents in this resource. French Sentence Builder Worksheets For Beginners

These French sentence builder worksheets are great for helping your beginner students practice writing sentences using high frequency verbs, grammatical structures, and vocabulary words. Have a look at the preview to see exactly what each worksheet looks like.

Three worksheets are included, and each one provides at least four different sentence options, so everyone won't be writing exactly the same thing. Choosing sentence components makes this activity fun! As students they work through steps 1 - 3, they will check boxes for the components they want to include in their final three sentence paragraph which they will write at the bottom of the page.

Students will practice reading, 1 - 2- 3 - 4 step sentence building, and writing their French sentences while checking to make sure they have all of the necessary components.

In addition to writing conjugations, you have the option to ask them to write a sentence using the verb in the tense indicated. There is a checklist written in French for students to check their work for common errors before turning it in. If you just want to have your students practice conjugating, I have included worksheets for that as well. A large variety of regular and irregular verbs is included (see below).
