Place Value Game Super Mario Brothers (Bros) Style TEKS STAAR 100+ Question Pool

By zaney laney learning

Super Mario Brothers + Place value shenanigans + unlimited replay = fun, fun, fun! Want an engaging way to reinforce and practice place value? Super Mario Brothers (Bros) to the rescue! Level Up with Joe and Moe and gamify learning with this Super Mario Brothers (Bros) style game. Want a fun way for your learners to confirm their knowledge of place value? What an easy way to reinforce what you've taught about place value! This interactive place value quiz uses retro video game graphics ala Super Mario Brothers (Bros) and quirky animation in this fun math review game to engage learners as they answer various questions about place value.

Not convinced? Try it! Here's a preview of the functionality of Super Mario games.

Want more? Here's a preview of other learning games.

It's comprehensive! Learners practice applying knowledge of place value using several activities:

  • Decoding place value in relation to standard form, written form, expanded form, and expanded notation form
  • Using place value-blocks and charts
  • Comparing and reviewing place values and relationships
  • Ordering numbers (least-to-greatest and greatest-to-least)
  • Rounding numbers to the nearest place

Basic Features:

  • Modeled after multiple-choice questions from previously published standardized tests.
  • Single-player game that can be played online or offline. Can also be used for group review in a classroom setting.
  • Learners are presented with 10 place-value questions out of a pool of well over 100, ensuring it's never the same game twice!
  • Learners are acknowledged by the name they entered when launching the game.
  • Automatic scoring and answer key.
  • No Prep: Open/send the link and go!
  • Unlimited Replay option: Questions are randomly selected from a pool. Possible answer choices are shuffled. This combination makes it possible to produce a unique quiz with each replay attempt. In addition, new questions will be added to the pool periodically to keep the pool robust.
  • It's quick: Engage and energize your learners in about 10 minutes. This will come in handy for those who finish early - you can keep them on task while keeping them engaged and connected. It doesn't take a lot of time to reinforce what you've taught.
  • Video-game style, including copyright-friendly illustrations and sounds.
  • Choose Your Avatar: Joe or Moe? Each Super Duper Learning Dude shares the same question pool, so you can't go wrong!
  • Upon completion, learners have an opportunity to play again.
  • Varied question types aid in learner engagement: multiple choice, text entry, word problems, and drag-and-drop responses.
  • No macros = play on any device.
  • Google account not required!

TEKS Aligned:

Best Online/Digital Math Escape Room Decimals TEKS NO PREP 100+ Question Pool

By zaney laney learning

Escape each room to escape the school! Engage your students with this exciting online/digital escape room game that is focused on core math topics and offers unlimited replay. This interactive online/digital escape room learning game brings problem-solving skills to life as learners answer questions about key math topics to identify a three-letter code that unlocks "doors" to various classrooms. Perfect for virtual or in-person classrooms, this online escape room will boost engagement and enhance critical thinking skills.

This online escape room game is an excellent refresher for everything you've taught them about decimals, including their values and how they relate to fractions and percentages. In this game, learners must try to escape eight rooms. In each room, learners are presented with three questions, to which each answer has a corresponding letter code. Learners must enter the correct 3-letter code, in order, to escape the current room and go to the next room. When the code is entered incorrectly, learners are prompted to try again and will receive another set of randomly-selected questions.

It's 5th-grader-approved! I consulted with my son every step of the way and he was excited to play.

Want more? Here's a preview of other learning games.

It's Comprehensive:

Multiple-choice questions are selected randomly from a pool:

  • Decimal Place Value
  • Rounding Decimals
  • Compare and Order Decimals
  • Adding and Subtracting Decimals
  • Multiplying and Dividing Decimals
  • Converting Decimals to Fractions and Fractions to Decimals
  • Converting Decimals to Percentages and Percentages to Decimals
  • Standard, Written, Expanded Forms
  • Mental Math
  • Money and Financial Literacy

Basic Features:

  • Aligned to TEKS, STAAR, and CCCS.
  • Supports Remote Learning: Online game. Internet required.
  • Bonus: Each topic has accompanying clues (anchor charts) that can be downloaded from the Resources tab at no additional charge.
  • Automatic scoring and self-correcting answer key. Learners get immediate notification of correct or incorrect answers.
  • Unlimited Replay option: Questions are selected randomly from a pool. There are at least 10 question sets in each room and well over 100 question sets in total. This makes it possible to produce a unique quiz with each replay attempt. In addition, new questions will be added to the pool periodically to keep the pool robust.
  • Learners are acknowledged by the name they entered when launching the game.
  • No Prep: Automatic scoring and answer key. Open/send the link and go!
  • Study guides/learning aids included.
  • Copyright-friendly audio.
  • No macros = play on any device.
  • A Google account is not required!
  • Average duration: 10 - 15 minutes = Perfect for a quick refresher or energizer.

What to Expect:

Please play the preview version before purchasing. This is the best way to understand how the game works and is also the best way to avoid surprises after purchase.

You'll receive a PDF file that includes a link to the online game. This content is not editable. While I'll update the game periodically, I will do my best to retain the same link. After purchasing, you'll be notified about any updates to this product.

Help Me Get Better:

If you encounter any issues, please contact me at zaneylaneylearning@gmail.com before posting a negative review. I have a lot of ideas, and I'm trying my best to present an error-free, high-quality product. Again, please play the preview version before purchasing. This is the best way to understand how the game works and is also the best way to avoid surprises after purchase.

Please let me know if you would like to see additional examples or have suggestions for other uses/topics.

FRENCH MATHS | JEU/GAME | J'AI QUI A | DROITES NUMÉRIQUES | NUMBER LINES
