Enhance your students' reading experience with this comprehensive set of comprehension questions based on A Game of Noctis by Deva Fagan. Perfect for upper elementary and middle school readers, these thought-provoking questions will deepen understanding and spark engaging discussions about the novel's themes, characters, and plot. Designed to assess both literal and inferential comprehension, these questions can be used for class discussions, homework, or as part of an assessment.

This product can be used with students as an informal/formal adapted assessment. Students will be required to identify the pre-primer, primer, 1st grade,2nd grade, and/or 3rd grade Dolch sight words. If students begin at the pre-primer level and are able to identify a specific amount of each section of sight words, they are going to be ranked as independent, instructional, or frustration when identifying those sight words. Students are then provided with a sentence or brief comprehension passage for each Dolch sight word list. The questions and short passages have been adapted and shortened compared to other reading assessments so baseline data can be collected, especially with those students are struggling. This will help gauge where students need the most support in terms of identifying sight words, reading simple sentences/passages, and answering comprehension questions that relate with what is read.

The graphic novel, Click! Kayla Miller is great for children ages 8 - 13, as they can relate with the characters. My students enjoyed this book because it is a book about friendship and finding where they belong or where they "click" as they navigate middle school. This book does not have chapters, so comprehension questions were separated by pages. Therefore, written comprehension skills are emphasized while reading.

The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text as well as students own experiences. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and a few example sentences are presented in the packet. As the book is being read aloud, as students are reading the book or after the book has been read, students can answer the comprehension questions in this packet.

Answer key is included at the end of the product.
