This is a simple project, but it adds in real life scenario of what the cost is going out to eat. Students end up shocked at the cost of going out to eat! The students pick out a restaurant of their choice (can download the menu offline), "go out to eat" with three other family members, order, determine cost, sales tax and tip for a total of going out to eat for 4 people. This could be a group project with four students going out to eat and seeing what the cost is for each. Either way, it shows their decimal skills with basic math operations and gives them a new appreciation of going out to eat!

Students compare 4 water containers quantitatively for how effectively they keep water warm and cold. They also compare them qualitatively, looking at price, durability, design and other subjective measures.

Integer Operations Fall Craft | Fall Tree Craft for all 4 Integer Operations

In this Integer Operation Fall themed craft, students are going to practice all 4 integer operations. They will get 3 trees and 9 - 10 leaves with integer problems on them. They will get an addition tree, subtraction tree and multiplication/division tree. This would make such a cute bulletin board! You will need coloring utensils & scissors - minimal supplies!
Directions:
Solve the problems on the leaves
Write the answers on the line
Color the leaves and cut them out
Find the answer on the tree and paste the leaf on the tree
Create your own problems in the empty images
Explain in words how to add, subtract or multiply/divide integers
