Multiplying Fractions Maze (PPTX, PDF, & GSLIDES)
By Homeschool with Big Easy Homeschooling Mom
A special thanks to Lindsay Bowden for this math maze template. Are you looking to make math more fun for your students, or distant learners? This maze worksheet is great to distribute for classwork, homework, math centers, early finishers, or extra practice. These mazes are designed so the student is able to work out each multiplication fraction problem so they can determine the correct direction to complete the maze. It is also designed for easy grading for the teacher.
PDF, Google Slides & PowerPoint versions as well as the answer key are included.
TIP: If you are using this maze for math centers, simply laminate and use dry erase markers. You can use Expo Cleaner with a Magic Eraser to clean off. After a while, it will leave residue and you may have to print and laminate another.

Non-curricular BTC Task: Estimating the size of Rational and Irrational Numbers
By MsVisualizer
This is a fun non curricular thinking task that goes beyond just asking students to convert rational numbers to other forms and put them in order. It provides students with an opportunity to think more deeply about the relative sizes of rational and irrational numbers and strategically choose which shapes to place where.
There are many valid approaches and answers to this task so it is a great way to start the year and build a thinking classroom.
This includes both a version made for 5th, 6th, or 7th grade with mixed numbers and decimal side lengths as well as a version for 8th/9th grade which includes square roots as well.

Fraction, Decimal and Percentage Matching Activity
By LittleStreams
This fraction, decimal and percentage matching puzzle is a fun way to test students ability convert between fractions, decimals and percentages. It contains 32 puzzles including all base fractions up to nine-tenths, and also includes a bonus ten-tenths to test understanding of a whole.
It is designed to be easily cut with little wastage. So either the teacher or tutor can prepare the cards by cutting them before hand, or students can cut their own cards, giving them a chance to see the solutions before they attempt the puzzle.
Although this product is made in colour, it prints perfectly well in black and white. Each puzzle is the size of an A4 sheet or US letter. To use less paper, select the pages per sheet option, and the puzzles will be smaller, but still high quality.
Percentage of Amounts, increase and decrease Follow Me Cards
By LittleStreams
These 30 follow me cards are a great way to revise percentage of amounts including increasing and decreasing a number by a given percent. Play is similar to dominoes, where the cards are placed end to end with the question to the answers, but each question only has one answer.
Students connect the questions and answers together forming a chain, with questions steadily getting harder. For extra challenge, don’t use a calculator.
Some ideas for how to use follow me cards:
-Have students race to connect the cards.
-Have a treasure hunt, around the classroom or outside. Students start with the starter card and record the solutions in the table.
-Students each take ownership of a card, and then get themselves in line correctly with the answers. If there are more than 30 students, assign some students as ‘managers’. If there are less than 30 students, the first students to connect their cards can be given the remaining cards.
- Cut each card in half and give the students a matching activity. They can then glue the answers into their books.
Fractions, Decimals & Percentages Clip Cards
By LittleStreams
These clip cards are a great way to test students’ knowledge of recognising fractions decimals and percentages using a physical multiple choice system. The given possible answers have been carefully chosen to allow teachers to spot any misconceptions students may have about fractions and their equivalence to decimals and percentages. The idea of this activity is that students clip a clothespin/peg or a paperclip to what they think is the correct answer. This activity works equally well when the cards are laminated. Students simply circle the correct answer using a dry erase marker. Alternatively, you can print these on paper, hand out to your class at the end of the lesson, so they can put their names on and circle the correct answer, serving as a great exit ticket/plenary to the lesson. These cards are in colour, but print equally well in grey scale for cost savings. To make them self marking, simply place a dot on the underside of the card pertaining to the correct answer.
Fractions Decimals and Percentages Conversion Follow Me Cards
By LittleStreams
These 30 follow me cards are a great way to revise converting between fractions, decimals and percentages, from simple ones where students are encouraged to learn by heart such as 50% 1/2 0.5, through to more challenging conversions such as 3/16 0.1875 18.75%.
Play is similar to dominoes, where the cards are placed end to end with the question to the answers, but each question only has one answer. Students connect the questions and answers together forming a chain, with questions steadily getting harder. For extra challenge, don’t use a calculator.
Some ideas for how to use follow me cards:
For an advanced start, begin on page two of the record sheet (the first card number is given).
Reverse & Compound Percentages Follow Me US Version
By LittleStreams
These 30 follow me cards are a great way to revise compound and reverse percentages including increasing and decreasing, and compound interest and depreciation.
Play is similar to dominoes, where the cards are placed end to end with the question to the answers, but each question only has one answer. Students connect the questions and answers together forming a chain, with questions steadily getting harder.
A calculator is recommended for the final 15 questions at least.

This pack contains 30 follow me cards and a record sheet for recording answers, with a space for workings out.
These 30 follow me cards are a great way to revise arithmetic with fractions. Play is similar to dominoes, where the cards are placed end to end with the question to the answers, but each question only has one answer. Students connect the questions and answers together forming a chain, with questions steadily getting harder.

Some ideas for how to use follow me cards:
-Have students race to connect the cards.
-Have a treasure hunt, around the classroom or outside. Students start with the starter card and record the solutions in the table.
