With 10 interactive stations, this kinesthetic activity will get your students moving and thinking critically.\n\nHow It Works:\n\nStart with a Student Sheet: Each student receives a scavenger hunt sheet to track their progress. Students may select where to begin, or you may assign them to a particular station.\n\nSolve and Record: At each station, students solve the challenge problem at the bottom of the poster, record their answer on the student recording sheet, and find their next destination based on their answer.\n\nExplore and Discover: Once students find their answer, they are going to “sprint” (or walk calmly ☺) to the poster with their answer at the top of it.\n\nCollaborate and Compete: As they sprint (or walk calmly) to new stations, they can work cooperatively while reinforcing key concepts.\n\nWhy Choose Our Scavenger Hunt?\n\n✅Promotes Active Learning: Keeps students engaged through movement\n\nand collaboration.\n\n✅Reinforces Key Skills: Focuses on understanding direct and inverse\nvariation in a fun, interactive way.\n\n✅Flexible Setup: Perfect for any classroom environment—adaptable to your\nteaching style!\n\nReady to transform your lessons? Graphing Ratios Practice Worksheet
By The M-Intercept
This worksheet provides students with step by step instructions for how to read a word problem, create a ratio table, find missing values on the table, and then graph the ratio table.
This worksheet was designed to supplement our district's curriculum, which expected students to use ratios and graph ratios, but did not provide ample opportunity to practice the skill thoroughly. I hope this worksheet is helpful for you and your students.

Math Calculator practice! TI-36X Pro Calculator Exponents and Roots task+key
By Daniel
Knowing every detail on your calculator and how it works, is the BEST feeling... as you do not have to interrupt your teacher a hundred times for help!
Independent work by students – no prep needed by teacher. Just print a copy of the tutorial and task for each student and watch them learn how to use their calculators well.
This Exponents and Roots task, (with complete Key), gives students practice to become fluent using their calculator. The task concisely reviews the steps contained in the Exponents and Roots Tutorial. It should be used in conjunction with the Exponents and Roots Tutorial. The aim of both the Tutorial and the task is to assist students to independently become 100% comfortable with their calculator. The aim of the task is DIY for students.
The task can be used as teacher assessment, peer assessment or self assessment at the end of a fractions and decimals unit of work.
This calculator tutorial and task series addresses the challenge of a classroom full of students who have a variety of different calculators. The series contains eight of the most popular calculators used in US Middle Schools. Make sure you get the series if you have such a class!
TI-30Xa, TI-30XIIS, TI-30XS Multiview, TI 34 Multiview, TI-36X Pro, Casio fx-300ES Plus, Casio fx-300MS Plus, Casio fx-300MS
Square root, Square, Cube Root, Cube, Powers of 2, Powers of 3, Exponents, Raising numbers to powers, raising numbers to exponents, Taking the roots of whole numbers, Assessment, Teacher Assessment, Formative Assessment, Summative Assessment, Peer Assessment, Self Assessment
When should students use a calculator in mathematics? When fluency with mathematical procedures without the help of a calculator are well established, students should be able to use calculators with more complex mathematical problems, real-life applications and calculations involving very large and small numbers.
Also, take a look at the Tutorial of this same calculator, on the same topic, and get the two together. You will find it here:

Math Links- Systems of Linear Equations- (NYT game "Connections")
By Howlin' Husky Math Games
Have you ever played the New York Times game, "Connections"? This worksheet combines this premise with math to put an exciting spin on learning.
This version concentrates on solving systems of linear equations using substitution.
Students will solve or simplify the sixteen problems. Then they will inspect the answers and try to find similarities. The sixteen answers can be grouped into four smaller sub groups ranging in difficulty from easy to tricky to find (yellow, green, blue, purple). Each group will have a distinct trait that puts them in this group.
Students can check to make sure a group is correct before trying to find another group. If they guess wrong, they check off a mistake box. Student should try to get all four groups with the least amount of mistakes!
