What is trimino (triomino) puzzle and how to use it:

• similar to domino BUT trimino cards have a triangular shape
• INSTRUCTIONS:
• Simply cut up the puzzle pieces and let your pupils put them back together. The resultant shape is that of a star.
• Students need to match the similes with the correct picture.
• You can print out a few puzzles and turn it into a competition. Whoever resolves the puzzle first, wins. It can be also played in teams.
• I highly recommend printing the black & white trimino puzzles on different coloured papers. You won't get them accidentally mixed-up.

Classroom management in a middle school Core French classroom can be dicey! That's why I engage my students as much as possible to keep em' on their toes! Prof du jour is a part of my everyday routine, where a different student each day is given the opportunity to lead the discussions with their peers and to give them confidence in French. Sit back and watch the magic!

This isn't just a run-of-the-mill calendar! My Prof du jour is at the command desk and interacts with their peers and the Google Slides. Here are some activities that my Grades 4, 5 and 6 students actively use found in this document:

• Weather, time of day, days of the week, and terms like "yesterday," "today," and "tomorrow."

In this lesson, students learn interesting facts about the invention of language as they complete several projects including a WebQuest (Internet Scavenger Hunt) to answer questions about the topic. A complete answer key is provided for the WebQuest for easy grading, along with resources for both teachers and students. The student questions are included in both a print version and a digital (editable) version to make it easy for students to complete the lesson digitally or on paper. Materials Needed:

• A regular six-sided die
• Colors

Rolling the Die:

• Students roll a six-sided die to determine which color word they read in Spanish.
• Students can also scan the QR code on the worksheet using a device with a QR code scanner to access a virtual dice roller.

Reading the Word:

• Students match the number rolled with the corresponding color word on their worksheet.
• Students read aloud the color in Spanish to practice pronunciation.

Marking Progress:

• Once students read a word, they should shade in color the box using the color that matches the Spanish word read.
• If students roll a number they have already completed, they should roll again until they land on a new word.
• Students continue rolling and reading until they have completed all the words on their worksheet.

Make your ESL classroom look different from a regular education room by Considering these multilingual classroom numbers labels!

Each label takes up 1/4 of a page so they are nice and big, but not too obtrusive. There are numbers from 0 to 100 and multiples of 10 to 100 and 1000 and 1000000 for a total of 26 pages. Check out the preview of some pages. They each feature the number and the English word in big, bold black letters while the other languages are in a smaller font and in different colors. Languages included are Nepali (Red), Arabic (Violet), Portuguese (Green), and Spanish (Brown).

Fun and engaging way to teach 28 items of clothing and accessories in German. Contains 29 I Have, Who Has...? cards and a cut and paste picture dictionary. Low prep, just print out and cut up.

Contains:

29 I Have, Who Has...? cards

1 set of picture cards

3 sets of word cards

4 sheets to glue onto

How to use:

1. Ich habe..., wer hat...? Card Game

Print out, cut up. It can be played in small or large groups. Hand out all of

the cards to pupils, each has roughly the same number of cards. The student

with the 1st card starts by asking Wer hat... The pupil with the matching

card replies Ich habe... and asks Wer hat...? The game finishes when pupils get to the last card.

During the activity teacher monitors the correct use of articles.

2. Cut and Paste Picture Dictionary

Each pupil gets 1 set of picture cards and 1 set of word cards. Pupils cut them

out. They can either glue them onto the provided sheets or in their notebooks.

Make sure they glue the picture and word cards in the correct article

category.
