Need an awesome Art Unit? I have just the thing for you! This creative Ghostly Self Portraits Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. It is best to use grey newsprint paper if you have it, but if you do not you could use white drawing paper (if you give the white paper a grey-ish look ahead of time). I used pencil to sketch everything out in student sketchbooks and on final copy newsprint paper. I used black crayon OR black oil pastel (depending on grade level) to first outline the major features of the pencil drawing. The older students used oil pastels. After outlining, white crayon OR white oil pastels were used for the self-portrait eyes, and a few other areas. Pattern was a focus throughout the composition whether it showed up on the person or in the background. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy.

In this product, students will learn the sign and English vocabulary word for the 98 different Halloween vocabulary words presented.

This product can be used with students who are learning English and/or sign language. It can serve as an in class practice, review, or quiz.

In the first section of the product, students will learn the English word, the sign of each Halloween vocabulary item, and the Halloween vocabulary word is used in a sentence. Students will be able to write the name of the Halloween vocabulary word in their native language. A picture is also included to represent each Halloween vocabulary word. At the end of this section, students will have the opportunity to choose 11 Halloween vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each one. Students will then have the opportunity to answer short comprehension questions about Halloween.

In the second section of the product, there is a dictionary provided that includes the English word, the sign, and a picture showing each Halloween vocabulary word presented.

In the third section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the sign, sentence, and picture that are included for each Halloween vocabulary word provided. Students will then be required to write down each Halloween vocabulary word in English.

In the fourth section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the sign and picture that are included for each word provided. Students will then be required to make up a sentence in English using each Halloween vocabulary word.

In the fifth section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the sign and picture that are included for each word provided. Students will then be required to make up a sentence in their native language using each Halloween vocabulary word.
