In this project, you will research a specific type of cell (animal, plant, or microorganism), learn about its structure, function, and role within an organism, and create a visual and written report to showcase their findings. This project also includes a presentation component!

This engaging periodic table bundle combines matching and problem-solving to help students learn about the periodic table. By creating element "wanted posters," students will deepen their understanding of atomic structure, properties, and the organization of the periodic table.

This project is great for the end of the year. That weird time between end of course tests and the school year end is challenging. The project is mostly self-paced and great for those days that you only see some classes throughout the day. Minimum materials are needed! 11x7 paper, lined, paper, the packet, and yarn!

Student will make a map, complete a packet, and write some journal entries on how they would survive if they were stranded on a deserted island.

This product is only the slides. You will need the bundle to do this project.

The included PowerPoint presentation can be used by the teacher for whole class instruction or provided to the students electronically (or as a printout) for them to review individually. Students use close reading skills with a short informational passage to learn about the career field and answer questions to use critical thinking skills and demonstrate their understanding. Two different puzzles are included to learn different jobs in the career and to reinforce vocabulary skills. An individual research project to learn more about an influential individual in the energy field using Microsoft PowerPoint (or Google Slides) offers students an opportunity for a real-life look into this career. A group project about renewable energy using research and the Engineering Design Process to build, explain, and present to the class allows students to utilize critical thinking skills and teamwork. Finally, a short reflection questionnaire gives students the opportunity to reflect and analyze their learning as they determine if this career field is of interest to them.

The scenario: we have to leave Earth because of pollution. Students are part of the New Beginnings Mission and they must settle a colony on a new planet. Tasks include map making, decimal multiplication, scale drawings, team building, geometric drawings, research, measurement conversions, and more. It is presented in PowerPoint format. The first slide is an overview. All worksheets are included as slides that can be printed. There are also instructions included in the notes section of each slide.

You may hear about natural disasters often, but some of the deadliest disasters in world history have been environmental disasters caused by human activity. This lesson involves having your students investigate environmental disasters that have taken place on our planet. Their initial focus will be to examine the Chernobyl disaster in the Soviet Union. In this lesson, students learn interesting facts about space exploration and the first man on the moon as they complete a WebQuest (Internet Scavenger Hunt) to answer questions about the topic.    A complete answer key is provided for the WebQuest for easy grading, along with resources for both teachers and students.  The student questions are included in both a print version and a digital (editable) version to make it easy for students to complete the lesson digitally or on paper.  Also included with this unit is a word search puzzle with a full answer key that is great for early finishers or to supplement the lesson.  Additionally, after these introductory activities, students create a presentation to showcase their knowledge on the free Web 2.0 tool, Emaze (www.emaze.com).  Optionally, these can be presented to the class.

In this product, students will make a food chain mobile. They will cut out the sun, producers, and consumers cards, they will then make 3 mobiles. They will make a mobile that includes a sun, producer, and carnivore, a mobile that includes a sun, producer, and herbivore, and a mobile that includes a sun, producer, and omnivore. Students can work individually or with a partner or a group to complete this activity. Students will then research if their animal is a carnivore, herbivore, and omnivore and will label the consumer.

This project is great for the end of the year. That weird time between end of course tests and the school year end is challenging. The project is mostly self-paced and great for those days that you only see some classes throughout the day. Minimum materials are needed! 11x7 paper, lined, paper, the packet, and yarn!

Student will make a map, complete a packet, and write some journal entries on how they would survive if they were stranded on a deserted island.

This product is only the student packet. You will need the teacher slides for the chance cards. Purchase the BUNDLE to get both.

Tennessee State Standards

• 6.PS3.1 - Analyze the properties and compare the sources of kinetic, elastic potential, gravitational potential, electric potential, chemical, and thermal energy.
