This lesson has been created to include key information in a easy to read manner with visuals to support information retention. Depending on the age, developmental level and key learning needs, Teachers, Parents, School Counsellors and other Allied Health Professionals should use their insight and judgement to determine whether the information contained in this lesson is suitable and appropriate for each individual student.

Use this Spanish Christmas ornament writing activity to decorate your classroom tree and to get your Spanish students in the holiday spirit! Students will choose 1 of the 8 mandala ornaments to decorate or create their own with the blank version provided. Then they will practice their Spanish writing skills while writing about their greatest gift and responding to the prompt, "Mi mejor regalo es." Afterward, they can cut and glue that to their ornament and hang them on your class Christmas tree or bulletin board!

What's Included:

• A PDF Document with 8 Mandala Ornaments for students to choose from
• Ornaments for responding to "Mi mejor regalo es..."
• One blank ornament for students to create their own mandalas

Directions:

• Students will choose a mandala ornament to decorate or use the blank one provided to make their own.
• After decorating their ornaments, students will respond to the prompt, "Mi mejor regalo es..." using the writing-lined ornament.
• Next, students will cut out their mandala and writing ornament and glue the lined writing ornament to the back of their mandala ornament.
• Last, laminate and cut them out, hole punch the top, and add a string! Hang them on your classroom tree or bulletin board display.

This activity provides an interesting writing topic about a past vacation and a way for students to collaborate in order to produce a sophisticated piece of writing. This resource encourages students to move outside their default thinking style and helps them self-reflect and move towards a more rounded and robust viewpoint. This is a great resource for teenagers with anger management, conflict resolution, limited personal insight and emotional regulation difficulties. Great to use in an individual, small or large group setting. This resource is versitile and can be utilised in many ways.

Looking at things from a different perspective are a vital life skill. This is a fun, engaging and creative craft activity lesson which encourages a positive growth mindset for children by focusing on self-love and self-talk. Children are to match unhelpful thoughts with the corresponding helpful grounding thought. This activity will help to encourage children to reframe thinking patterns from negative to positive.

We all have thoughts. Some thoughts are “helpful”. They make us feel confident, happy and brave. Some other thoughts are “unhelpful” and they can make us feel worried, nervous, sad or angry. Throughout this activity, you will explore helpful and unhelpful thoughts and how they impact you. Learning to reframe thought patterns is a powerful life long skill that builds self-esteem, confidence and resilience.

This is a fun, engaging and creative activity which promotes self-awareness and emotional literacy. Students are encouraged to explore each of the individual scenarios and reflect on the corresponding feelings. There are a total of 15 sets of paired mittens.

This activity fosters emotional literacy by supporting students to:

- Understand emotions

- Empathise with others and their experiences

- Associate and attribute the feelings to the correct source

- Express emotions constructively

Simply cut the cards and match the mittens. Each pair of mittens includes a left-handed mitten (scenario) with the right-handed mitten (corresponding feeling). Laminate this resource and you can use this resource for years to come

Una intervención creativa grupal para adolescentes

A group-based creative intervention explores self-esteem helping teenagers and adults develop personal insights about their sense of belonging in the world.

This is a hands-on activity which only requires group members to have a piece of paper and pens or colored pencils. The activity takes approximately 30 minutes long with additional time needed post activity for the reflection questions and rating statement worksheets.
