There are many ways you can use this set of cards: ➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions. ➤ Project the pdf file in class to work in group or with your whole class and avoid printing. ➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation partner. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box. ➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out correct answers to false statements. ➤ Use as exit tickets. In this product, students will review New Year's Eve/Day vocabulary and their signs and other vocabulary that appears in the product. There are two templates in this product. The first template allows students to write their answer and draw a picture or cut and paste a picture card provided on each page of the booklet. The second template allows students to cut and paste picture a picture card provided as their answer.

On each template, students will answer 10 questions about resolutions/goals they have for the coming year. On the page after each question, will be a section of pictures that students can choose from to answer each question. Sign language is also incorporated on each of the 10 question pages that emphasize New Year's Eve and Day vocabulary words.

This product can also be laminated. The picture cards can be cut out and Velcro can be applied to each one so it can be used again. Students can use a dry erase marker to write responses if product is laminated.

New Year's Write the Room: Celebrate the New Year with this engaging printable write-the-room activity! Use this writing activity in your AVID classroom, ELA, or any content area. This activity features 8 unique labels you can display around your room, each representing a letter to spell out "New Year." These labels come with thought-provoking prompts that encourage students to reflect on their goals and aspirations for the upcoming year. The recording sheet allows students to organize and document responses. Make the transition into the New Year a memorable one!

Directions:
Students will complete the New Year’s prompts around the room and record their responses on the provided recording sheet.

This activity is designed to work on laptops, tablets, or smartphones.

Your students will “visit” four different cities: New York, Paris, Rome and Tokyo.

In order to travel from one city to another, they will have to find Slope given Table, Graph, Coordinate Pairs and Equations.

After completing each game, they will find a link that will take them to another location.

A printable version of the questions is also included.
