This digital student portfolio project for Google Sites is the perfect way to help your students showcase their work in a professional, organized, and user-friendly way. With this product, you can quickly create portfolios that highlight student work, achievements, and more. Students choose a time period in history from a provided list, research that era, and then choose the software they will use to showcase their research. Students can choose to create a presentation, a brochure, or a video using Web 2.0 tools (free, no download needed) or by using Microsoft Office or Google Apps. For classrooms with limited technology, this lesson can be completed with students working in pairs or small groups. The completed presentations can be shared with the rest of the class if the teacher chooses.

This is a great activity for a social studies or history class, career exploration class, Principles of Arts, A/V Technology & Communications class, or any technology class. This lesson was designed for middle school (grades 6-8) but could be used in high school as well.

• Instructions on how to create swatches for the seam portfolio
• Supply list to send home with students of what fabrics they need to purchase for their seam portfolio
• A rubric for each of the seams for each type of fabric
• A page with video links for each of the seams so that you can upload how you see fit so students can have access. I find it easy yo upload it to google classroom and then students are able to watch the videos on their phone as the work through each seam type.
