Farm / Barnyard Animals Dice Game | BONUS: Includes Kids Yoga Pose Dice
By Stephanie Smith
I am a preschool teacher and certified yoga instructor. I designed this game to be versatile for use in both my preschool classes (with picture dice) and my kids yoga classes (with yoga pose dice).
I have included both sets of dice that I use in my classes. However, I do not recommend using the kids yoga dice unless you have prior training on how to safely guide the children into the yoga poses.
How to Assemble the Dice
1. Cut the outside lines.
2. Fold along all lines.
3. Glue or tape the tabs into place (I like to use double-sided tape).
How to Play
Yoga Version:
Roll the dice and instruct the children how to
safely move into the yoga poses.
Classroom Version:
1. Roll the dice.
2. Lead an open discussion about the animal that lands facing up.
Suggested Questions:
Have they ever seen the animal in real life?
What does the animal eat?
Is it a predator or prey?
Where does it live?
When does it like to sleep?
Does it have any special characteristics or qualities?
Would they like to have this animal for a pet?
What color is this animal?
Is it big or small?
What noise does it make?
Does it hibernate?
What would they do if they saw this animal?

Kids Yoga Find the Yogi Hide and Seek Game
By Stephanie Smith
This game is an absolute class favorite with my preschool yoga classes, and it's super easy to play! Pick a couple of yoga cards from the deck, hide them under the mats, and let the kids take turns picking colors. When they find a yogi, they get to try the pose.
If you like this game, here is another game my kiddos absolutely love playing: Kids Yoga Bingo Game for Preschoolers!
What’s Included:
✨ 11 Colored Yoga Mats (both gray and grey spellings are included)
✨ 72 Different Labeled Kid-Friendly Yoga Poses
✨ 72 Different Non-Labeled Kid-Friendly Yoga Poses
✨ Optional Decorative Backs
Recommendation: Print the product on cardstock and laminate the cards.
How to Play:
1. Place the printed yoga mats in front of you.
2. Say, “Turn around, turn around. Hide your eyes.”
3. Secretly hide 1-5 yoga pose cards under the mats while the children are facing away from you.
4. Have the children turn around to face you after you have hidden the cards.
5. Pick a child to go first and say, ”Yogi, yogi hiding under a mat. I wonder where you are at.” The child will then select a colored mat. Turn the mat over to reveal if there is a yogi hiding under the mat.
6. The game continues until all the mats have been selected.
